what is going on? Why you Blizzard guys “know about an issue with downloads” for weeks now but problem is still there!?
Season 3 Update, I’m trying to download update - download speed 0 kb\s
And suddenly whole game needs to be re-downloaded 195GB!!!
I click start download, it jumps to 7-9mbit speed for a second and drops to 0kb\s. I PAID YOU MONEY FOR A SERVICE!!! Why am I sitting here WITHOUT that service !??

I also was having problems since yesterday. However i found a solution changing Region into Asian. Then resuming the download again. Time to time download speeds slows down till 0byte, when this happens. stop download change download speed into 300 then resume downloading. When download speeds hits 300kbps, without stoping download, change download speed into 0 again. It fixes the issue. You may need to follow changing speed to 300 then to 0(unlimited) if it repeats to drop download rate to 0. This is how i downloaded the game
I’ve been suffering from this issue for days, and finally figured it out
I usually get 25 MB/s on other downloaders, but with battlenet it barely reaches 250 KB/s
the issue was in the download limiter, go to settings -> Games installs/updates
and then scroll all the way to the bottom to find “Network Bandwidth”
it’s by default unlimited “which causes the issue” try bottle-necking it with your peak download speed and it’ll work!
holy moly, this also worked for me… from 250kb/s to full fibre speed now

I read a lot of topics where people are complaining about same issue and your answers are the same. You can’t blame internet demand and tell me that because of that my download speed decreased from 30 mb per second to 300kb per second. THIS IS NOT INTERNET DEMAND PROBLEM, THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM. Maybe before you decided to push game for free, you should think about people who actually paid money to play the game.
Is there any idea when this will be solved?
We paid game, which due to your error we need to re-download, and because of your error again we can not download it. Which means I paid you for service I am not getting.
All this wouldn’t annoy me as much, if you were just admitting it’s you who made bollocks of it. What annoys me is that you think we are stupid and try to blame “internet demand at large” (your words).
Guess what, everything else on internet at large works perfectly fine.
So please admit, or even don’t, just fix the God damn thing.

Yeah true, I downloaded Valorant at 3.3gb in less than 10 minutes. Steam is fine, streaming movies is fine etc.
Im now having an issue with the new 15gb update. Please for the love of everything stop doing updates. Delay the new season, pause the internet at activision. Just STOP IT lol
I assume that the download rate in intentionally reduce to 0 B/s now due to internet demands.
I guess downloading 90GB of game from steam is fine at this moment as the internet demands is low.
Also if you how your download agent work, let me tell you. When the error pop up ( BLZBNTAGT000008A4 btw, you are welcome), the download will stop unsuprisingly, and it is haappening every time I resume the download (if you call 0B/s download rate is download) for 2 seconds.

I recently decided to reinstall COD:MW because the many many many issues going around which wouldn’t allow me to launch the game. I also reinstalled battle.net because of the annoying agent sleeping issue, I reinstalled it more than 10 times, and I deleted all the associated files from program data, etc. There is no use, I figured that everytime you delete the agent, you get the chance to launch the launcher 1 time and after that the problem will continue, but you need to scan your games again which will make your current game (COD in my case) go in an infinite loop of waiting which tempted me to go ahead and reinstall it. Now I cannot install COD:MW because when I click install it takes 20 mins to load the path direction window, and when that loads and I begin installing it says waiting for 30 mins and then stops.
Why was my post moved here? I literally don’t even get the option to download the game yet…
im currrently having similar problem with the newest patch, dated 19/04/2020.
For somehow, it would not let me download anything. I can press play but only to find out later on that i cannot login into my MW account. The game kicked me out saying that theres a new patch and i should DL it from the launcher. but launcher said my version is uptodate.
And this works wonder. It fixes my issue.

I don’t understand, this was supposed to be fixed by now, we still have the same issue as before with today’s 30GB update, my speed is at 20 KB/s where it should be at 70 MB/s, doesn’t make any sense, tried changing regions, uninstalling reinstalling, clearing local files, nothing helped, this is embarrassing and unacceptable.

Same here, download speed is at this moment at 612 KB/s, can you please fix this mess?

Here is what fixed my slow download speed, Im in Denmark at the Europe server.
I was downloading with about 200 kb/s before I tried this.
- Change your server to America From Europe
- Go to settings and set both download limits to something random, I used 420
- Pause, then unpause your download.
- Go back to settings, set both download speeds back to 0 for unlimited.
- I now download with 12.5 mb/s

It’s beyond a joke tbh. 30gb takes ages for me anyway, but doing it at these speeds means it will be atleast a full day before it finishes, if not more.

Didn’t work sadly, must just be the connection with their servers is super poor.
