I just paid 40 bloody poounds for this game yesterday and haven’t been able to play all day. It’s been going @250Kb/s for 6 hours. I played for ~3 hours, can I still get a refund?

Not too bad then i reckon at 1B/s you should be able to play in about 30 years (official blizzard response )

Only Warzone is superslow. If I try to donwload Diablo I go at max speed, while the Warzone patch is downloading at the staggering speed of 536 B/s…
I don’t see this kind of speed since the 1995…

Here’s Blizzard’s “Breaking News”:

As a result of increased network demand on the internet at large, we’ve seen an impact on players’ download speeds when trying to install or update their games. We continue to monitor and adjust elements within our control to get these downloads to you as quickly as possible, while also working in a space with ever-increasing demand for bandwidth across the internet at large.

In an effort to maintain service and internet uptime for all customers, our Content Delivery Network partner is helping alleviate network traffic during peak hours. Some traffic may be deprioritized to ensure internet stability for all customers, which can result in slower download speeds for gaming downloads during high-usage times.

If you are experiencing slow download speeds, there are several troubleshooting steps we can first attempt that may resolve your issue. We always recommend checking your Network Bandwith in the Battle.net App Settings, as well as these common steps for Installation and Patching issues.

If the issue persists and it’s during peak internet usage times (such as 6pm-12am in many regions globally), we recommend leaving the download running . As overall internet congestion returns to normal throughout the night, providers are allocating more bandwidth for large file downloads which will improve your download speeds.

With more folks staying home in today’s environment, it’s critical for us to make sure you can stay connected to your friends through gaming. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through these strange times together. Our team is continuing to look for solutions to provide the best experience in our games, from installation to your first victory in-game.

[THIS MAY HELP YOU, IT WORKED FOR ME]

From a post i made, user suggested trying the Asian region (Settings bar on download, region>Asian)

Went from 0.00 for 3 hours to a solid 10 MB/s, worth a try!

EDIT: Yes a VPN works, but only because it assumably changes your region to one you are currently not using. It will still overall be slower to route all your internet traffic through another server.

Thinking of asking for refund. If i can’t play a fn second, what is the point.

I have red this too. But its bs. I can download every other game on battle.net with 200+mb/s. But cod is currently downloading at 200b!!!/s.
I live in switzerland if anyone is interessted (1 gb/s connection).
And btw the vpn thing works. But i dont want to pay for vpn. Does anyone know a good free vpn? (with a good download speed and no limit, if that even exists)

(refeering to HunterAuthor’s post)

protonVPN works for me @ around 4Mbyte… still pretty bad compared to my connection but better than 2bytes/s

i tested proton too. Works for me too, but only at 1.5 mb/s

I had the download stuck problem. After 6 hours of waiting, the pop-up window just indicated that the game is ready for play. Playing from Hungary.

25MB/s right now!!! ftw

how? what did u do? @seratan

@kingzlayer Nothing mate. Except posting about a refund here
It just happened like 4 Minutes ago. So far stable for ~7GB

@ seratan, where do u live and are u connected with us, european or asian server?

When the dude postet about switching to Asia i did that, but didn’t do sh+t so i switched back to Europe. That was all. DL from Germany here.

Yeah it is. 23 MB/s is not full speed for my 200k Internet, but it is glorious right now. Maybe i just lucked out. I’m staring at my screen and waiting for it to go back to 14b/s
