Battle.net Launcher Login Fails – Redirects to localhost

After attempting to link my Xbox account to my Battle.net account, I am now unable to log into the Battle.net launcher. The issue appears during the login process, where the browser redirects to a broken URL.

This fails to complete the login, as localhost:0 is not a valid redirect URI. The launcher hangs in a state where it cannot proceed, and the user remains logged out.

Tested on two different Windows PCs and a Mac – exact same issue on all platforms.

Logged in successfully via browser; credentials accepted every time.

But always redirected to localhost:0, which is unreachable and prevents OAuth completion.

Unlinked Xbox account, reinstalled the Battle.net launcher completely.

Cleared cache, changed language, cleared cookies, tried incognito mode, switched networks, and used different browsers.

Other users are reporting the same issue on Blizzard forums as of 21/06/25, suggesting a wider regression or newly introduced bug.

I have exactly the same problem. I also tried to connect my Xbox account to BattleNet. And after logging into the BattleNet app (PC), the browser opens and tries to reach a localhost URL.

At first I thought it might have been a DNS problem, but by the looks it is more likely the app.

I guess we can’t link Battle.net to Xbox today

same problem here allready spoke with xbox support and only blizz can do something with this now :frowning:

Same problem tried to ask customer support and no help whatsoever does anyone know a fix

On login page go to settings and click “continue without log in” then lauch a game and log in game to acces servers. You still cant log in Battle net app but at least you can play that way

Same issue. Connected xbox account now i get the the error. Nothing more frustating when this happens… reinstalled nothing works :frowning:

Same issue, hopefully they’ll solve this fast.

Guys i just told you a little “fix” to play already installed games

Had this same issue since about 2PM today. Tried just about everything suggested in the forums. Submitted a ticket and sadly got a generic reply redirecting me to the very same forums to seek help. Mildly frustrating. The only thing i wasn’t able to do was try another network to see if that’s where the fault lies.

+1… Linked the Xbox Gamepass account and lost access to the Battle.net, redirects to a localhost:0

ich habe genau das gleiche problem und das schon seit mehreren stunden

same issue here :frowning:

hope there will be a fix soon

Same issue here. We also need to request a reset to the 90 days counter in order to reconnect our XBOX Game Pass accounts.

It is surely on Blizzard’s ends since I attempted to play from a non-firewalled laptop as well as NVIDIA cloud.

same issue here. starting the app without logging in is a temp solution but is guess i can’t get games from gamepass on it in the meantime.

Apologies if I missed it, but has Blizzard acknowledged the issue on any other thread?

Thank you in advance.

Dimitris

Experiencing exactly the same issue

Same problem here. i never had gamepass and suddently this problem gotta be relevant today

I just wanted to test Microsoft’s Game Pass. So far so bad. I created a support ticket now (on Blizzard’s side) and even provided a link to this site. Let’s see, if that does something.
