Banned for being hacked

So Basically my account was hacked and the person who hacked me did something to break the guidelines and got my account banned. I was able to kick the hacker off my account through an hour of changing emails and passwords and finally was able to set up an authenticator to stop it from happening in the future. I went to bed and woke to my account being banned for breaking guidelines. I have no idea what the hacker did, but it was a perma ban and I received no explanation on why. I have submitted a ticket and I get an automated response which is bullcrap. I am sure I don’t understand how the login data works, but wouldn’t someone be able to tell the location of the login was outside of the US? I am just so frustrated because I know I have essentially lost my WOW account of 15 years now for doing nothing and there is nothing I can do and nothing Blizzard will do. Side note never had a history of getting banned, but does that matter nope. I am venting about a system that feels like you can do nothing to receive help. Just terrible.

Yes, they can tell. Blizzard knows what IP, computer, etc is being used and they know your login patterns I think.

Hackers never do good things with accounts. They strip them of any gold value, use them to bot, use them to advertise, and use them to move gold. That usually results in a perma ban on the account.

The first appeal does seem to be denied probably because the account really did the things that were against the rules. You need to re-open it (which you did) to hopefully get a specialist to review it. I see you did that. If Blizzard can verify that the actions occured when an account was compromised, and you can prove you are the account holder, they usually can restore the account.

I would ask on the WoW Customer Support forum which is best. If just another appeal is fine, or if you also need a Compromise ticket. The CS forum serves as an Information Desk to help folks navigate the support system, explain services, explain policies, etc. There are no GMs there, but there are Blues can can help guide folks in the right direction.

Feel free to link this thread if you create one on the CS forum.

This would be helpful ,however, i cannot post anything on WOW forums because account is banned from posting.

Making a second Battlenet account and leveling a WoW char to 10 using the free version of WoW is an option. That allows you to post. Be sure to use your real information.

To let the Blues know which account you are talking about, give them a charname-server. That lets them find the other account without you giving personal information.
