      • Developers’ notes: Our goal for these changes is to reduce Protection Warrior deaths to the dangers that are most likely to kill them, like burst or magic damage. There are some talents that warriors have for protection against these threats, like Disrupting Shout, Bolster, or Battle-Scarred Veteran, but it can be difficult to find the talent points for them. To provide more build flexibility we are reducing the power of the Battering Ram talent and moving its damage and defensive benefits into core abilities. We’re also increasing damage across the board and buffing some defensive talent options.
      • All ability damage increased by 5%.
      • Devastator damage increased by 30%.
      • Ignore Pain healing increased by 6%.
      • Disrupting Shout’s cooldown reduced to 75 seconds (was 90 seconds).

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Tiered Medallion Setting from functioning on necklaces purchased from Antique Bronze Bullion vendors.
  • Rings and necklaces purchased from Bullion vendors should now be eligible for socket upgrades. This fix is retroactive.

Non-player Characters

  • Vaskarn in the Emerald Dream no longer erroneously mentions that they can upgrade your gear with the use of Flightstones. Vaskarn in Valdrakken is unchanged.

Quests

  • While Time Rifts are empowered, Cache of Embers will now be awarded once per character per week from the quest for defeating a Time Rift Boss.
  • Prince Farondis drank his Conjured Protein Shakes and bulked up, allowing players to complete “Save Yourself”.

    • The Burn rune now also grants a significant bonus to spell power when Flametongue Weapon is imbued on your weapon.
    • Rolling Thunder now has a 50% chance to trigger (was 30%).
    • Fixed a bug causing overload procs to not add a charge to Lightning Shield when the Shaman has the Rolling Thunder rune active.

    • Invocation now also applies to Unstable Affliction.
    • Invocation damage can now deal critical strikes if the Warlock also has the Pandemic rune active.

  • Season 3 (Dreaming) crests are now correctly removed from players’ currency tabs. Players have received a small amount of gold for their unused Dreaming Crests.
  • Players can now earn up to 120 crests of each type per week in Dragonflight Season 4 (was a maximum of 90 per week in Season 3). This will allow for up to 8 upgrades per week, per crest type (was 6 in Season 3).
    • Developers’ notes: For players who don’t reach their maximum crest earnings in a given week, we’ve implemented the increasing-seasonal-cap system from previous seasons. Please note that this increase is likely applicable to Season 4 only. We expect the weekly maximum to return to 90 for The War Within Season One.

Plunderstorm

  • The Plunderlord’s Silver Cutlass weapon option should now be selectable from Da’kash Grimledger in Brew Bay for players at or above Renown 36.
  • Goblin Glue Rockets can no longer apply snares to players in Faeform, casting Repel, or casting Earthbreaker.
  • Any Keg Leg’s Crew Renown rewards that were not granted to players of the appropriate Renown levels are now retroactively granted.
  • Added a Kill Counter to the in-game user interface. Kills are now counted next to Plunder Collected.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Earthbreaker’s range and visual sizes to be inconsistent.
    • Developers’ notes: The effective range of Earthbreaker has not been changed. This fix makes its visuals appear to be about the same size as the spell effect.

Player versus Player

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Splintered Sparks of Dreams from dropping from PvP sources while eligible for catch-up.

Plunderstorm

  • The Storm’s fury swells! Lightning strikes during the final stage of the Storm are faster and more dangerous than before.
  • There is now a delay of 20 seconds after being revived where players no longer drop collected Plunder.
  • Additional enemies now spawn at Witherbark Village, the wild area northeast of Go’Shek Farm, and the wild area between Witherbark Village and Boulderfist Hall.
  • Fixed an issue where swapping back to default sword and gun appearances were not saving correctly.
  • Fixed an issue so that now, picking up an additional rank 2 spell while the same rank 2 spell is equipped properly grants the rank 4 version of the spell.
  • The Captain’s Orders quest “X Marks the Spot” now requires 1 item to be picked up (was 2 items).

      • Resolved an issue causing Lightwell to be able to use its healing charges on allies that are in immunity effects such as Cyclone.

    • A Forbidden Hoard that was inadvertently inaccessible due to having fallen through the floor has been moved to an accessible spot.

Plunderstorm

  • Plunder contained in dropped piles of Plunder increased by 50% in Solos matches.
  • Reviving a teammate now takes 10 seconds (was 15 seconds).
  • Health Brew cooldown for a revived player reduced to 10 seconds (was 15 seconds).
  • Adjusted the in-match leveling curve to increase the rate at which you level up to 7. Decreased the rate at which you level to 8, 9, and 10.
    • Developers’ notes: Many games have ended with larger player-level differences than we’d prefer. Considering the many playstyles we’ve seen in Plunderstorm, we want to help narrow the gap later in the game.
  • Earthbreaker now grants the caster immunity to crowd control spells while casting.
  • Faeform no longer provides any damage reduction.
  • Hunter’s Chains’ missile now moves significantly faster.
  • Fire Whirl damage reduced by 20%.
    • Developers’ notes: we want to reign in Fire Whirl’s damage a bit more, so that it’s close to the performance of other offensive spells.
  • Rime Arrow cooldown increased at higher ranks, and now has a cooldown of 10/8.5/7/5.5 seconds (was 10/8/6/4 seconds).
    • Developers’ notes: Rime Arrow’s short cooldown made it a too-low-risk poke, often used to deny healing and chase fleeing targets. Increasing the cooldown at higher ranks will give targets more chances to act against Rime Arrow.

Plunderstorm

  • Player matchmaking ratings (MMR) have been adjusted so that players should find themselves in better matches with continued play.
  • Fixed a bug that caused plunder dropped by players on death to unintentionally despawn when the killed player left the match.
  • Players are now immune to knockbacks when standing near Da’kash Grimledger in the preparation area.
  • Adjusted experience gained when playing Duos and fixed a bug that was increasing experience gain at level 3.
  • Fire Whirl Movement speed bonus reduced to 70% across all ranks (was 140%).
    • Developers’ notes: Our goal is to balance Fire Whirl’s effectiveness relative to the performance of other offensive spells without detracting from the effectiveness of other utility spells.
  • Star Bomb cast time reduced to 2 seconds across all ranks (was 2.25 seconds).
    • Developers’ notes: We’d like to improve the effectiveness of this ability.
  • Toxic Smackerel cooldown reduced at ranks 1, 2, and 3. Rank 4 unchanged.
    • Developers’ note: This is intended to ensure this ability is more in-line with expected power at early levels.
  • Explosive Caltrops trap radius increased by 40%.
    • Developers’ notes: The traps placed by Explosive Caltrops are intended to counter close-range aggression, but this felt a bit inconsistent because the traps were smaller than intended.
  • Lightning Bulwark channel time increased to 2 seconds (was 1.25 seconds).
    • Developers’ notes: Our goal here is to extend the potential window for counter play opportunities.

  • Afflicted cast time increased to 12 seconds (was 10 seconds).
  • Incorporeal now spawns closer to the group’s general location.
    • Developers’ notes: The changes above were originally intended for Dragonflight Season 4, but we decided we’d prefer to have players to experience them sooner.
  • Addressed an issue where Afflicted Cry’s debuff duration was increased by 2 seconds instead of its cast time.

Items

  • Fixed an issue that could cause raid bosses to not drop tier tokens as expected.
  • Fixed an issue where items from the Cache of Overblooming Treasures awarded from the Superbloom were dropping at a lower item level and upgrade track than intended.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some mounts, such as the Auspicious Arborwyrm or the mounts associated with the Dragonflight achievement A World Awoken, from being accessible to players who previously earned them.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some gear to unintentionally become as powerful as it will be when Season 4 starts.
    • Developers’ notes: We’ve set these pieces back to their Season 3 item levels for the remainder of Season 3.

Transmogrification

  • Players can now view the Plunderlord’s Finery Transmog Set on their retail characters as they work towards earning all the pieces during the Plunderstorm event.

    • Developers’ notes: Preservation has been underutilized lately, in part due to the range restrictions of the specialization. To help compensate for that, we’re increasing the healing and defensiveness of Preservation so they can traverse the battlefield more easily and safely.
      • Time of Need clone’s overall healing increased by 100%. Time of Need clone’s Living Flame healing increased by 16%.
      • Live-Giver’s Flame heals for 40/80% of damage done (was 35/70%).
      • Inherent Resistance reduces magic damage taken by 4/8% (was 2/4%) for Preservation Evoker.
      • Attuned to the Dream increases healing done and received by 3/6% (was 2/4%) for Preservation Evoker.

    • Addressed a Blight of Galakrond issue where Blight Seep left behind by a previous enemy will stop inflicting damage when the enemy is no longer in combat.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Light’s Protection, Soulburn: Drain Life, Icy Feet’s lockout effect, Master of the Elements, and Fury of Elune to be vulnerable to enemy purge effects.

What would be the importance of this change? I am confused.

Mythic plus bug fixes are always welcome but can we get a Hotfix to the gorgers in WCM randomly dropping threat/randomly meleeing the ranged dps/healer and randomly resetting half way through a pull. Also raal resetting if a servant gets knocked out of a doorway. Maybe a slight cast time increase on the juggernauts charge in atal dazar so they are able to be stopped. Or any of the other plentiful and painful mob bugs?

For one, I was doing Atal’Dazar and on the last boss, Yazma cast Soul Rend and the afflicted soul spawned a soul add as well. It wiped us because it spawned right next to boss. Having afflicted souls no longer being treated as players prevents this interaction.

When we were on Rezan, it cast pursuit and ate the afflicted soul instead of one of the players.

Still no fixes for Between the Eyes going on cooldown when it shouldn’t, and stealth breaking without entering combat making the above problem worse…

For disc priest at least, it means they can no longer be healed via atonement.

DK rework? Class tuning? Nope…Just NPC dungeons… Can we get some more interaction and idk maybe a class update section every so often (once a month, once a quarter?) with what ideas the team has in mind? You don’t need to open it up for people to reply to in the class updates since you will get spammed, but give people an idea so they know if their class is going to be screwed or if it is going to be awesome so people can play the Blizz Meta way.

Would be great if Blizzard just came out and said that they’re gonna leave DK’s the way they are until next xpac. Atleast don’t let any false hope permeate.

100% agree, and not just for DKs but any class that has not had a rework in a long while or that is under performing. It’s a time sink into these characters and for them to be the way they are and hoping week after week for some changes since they don’t like to realease information is a struggle.

Why skip DK’s though?

Pallies got a rework, Mages got a great rework (imagine if DK’s got a mage style rework, I can dream), and rogues got a rework. Rogues were in way less need of a rework than DK. Hell DH’s basically got a rework too.

No idea why the skip of DKs, maybe they are trying to go in order from class releases and DKs will be soon? Of course, Warriors could use some love as well. I know it’s a pretty big time sync for the devs to go through it, but with all the work they did Pre-DF for classes, you would hope something would be comming. Looks like there was a post for next weeks patch where Frost DK is getting a 4% damage buff (does not apply to PvP) and in PvP plate classes are getting a 30% armor nerf. So not sure what is going on.
