Zul'farrak banned

Realizing that there are only 2 dungeons and 1 raid to do at 40 i decided to go hit up zul’farrak. Problem is, “You have to be level 35 to enter”. Guess im 5 levels to late to enter a dungeon 4 levels higher than me. But on a more serious note, why close down zul’farrack in phase 2 when you allowed players to farm rfk in phase 1 which is also 4 levels higher than the cap? Like i can understand not allowing me to go to brd or sunken temple but zf still drops green gear that is lvl 40.

Season of discovering that there is so little to do and blizzard wants to forcefully make there even less to do.

They created a box inside of a sand box

you would think @Blizzard would be aware that there is gear in this dungeon valuable to to the current phase and in the next phase this dungeon will be skipped over just like rfk was this phase

I am huffing serious copium that they plan on releasing a second raid this phase, all this blood wakes up Hakkar early or something like that otherwise this phase will drag on worse than the last

it would be cool if zf was turned into a surprise phase 2 raid but if not, they should really just let people play the game

It’s clearly a bug. Please submit in the bug report forum. Thanks!

nah they confirmed before launch everything past uldaman is locked. half the loot in there has been updated tho

Probably just because of mage aoe farming since they don’t use the already existing anti dungeon AoE features they implemented in other versions of classic.

Another example of mages ruining things for everyone else.

They probably want to stop bots from farming it. Just because they didn’t lock RFK in phase 1 doesn’t mean they wont start doing that going forward.

ZF is probably locked because they want to update the loot you get from there. Like how a ton of the SM loot got reworked to not suck - you can’t have really good ZF loot that competes with gnomer loot otherwise nobody would do gnomer and everybody would just farm ZF

I’m not paying YOU to develop my game. let the devs develop my game.

If they’re locking it so they can use it for future design space then it’s good that it’s locked. If it’s locked just for the sake of locking it, it’s a bad decision.

We don’t know what universe we’re living in yet.

Its hard to say honestly with a comparison of Scarlet Monastery.

They locked Armory and Cathedral BUT upgraded loot in Library, Graveyard, and Cathedral, nothing from Armory.

I would assume this is being done to prevent people from farming the dungeons prior to when the dungeons should be farmed, getting pre-geared for next phase, selling drops, selling carrot-on-a-stick quest completions in the case of Zul-Farrak, etc.

They prolly know that most people want to spam dungeons and ignore everything. I kinda commend the way they are trolling people who insist on ruining their game like they always have.

Go spam SM armory.

based on the nerf trend following pvp id say you are paying for both

because zf is the next raid silly… it doesnt exist yet

last phase didnt drag on, that’s a you problem… how many alts do you have exalted wsg bracers on?

I’d consider this a bad reason to lock the instance. Doing RDF last phase was harder than BFD in a lot of ways. As is doing quest chains like Tremors of the Earth and Rise, Obsidion! now. Those challenges that you probably shouldn’t be able to complete, but still manage to for some semi-relevant reward (Mantle of Thieves notwithstanding) makes some old content we’d normally blow through feel kinda iconic.

I’ll never look at those quests or those dungeons the same way again, which I think is a triumph of SoD’s design.

This is definitely one of the good reasons to block access. The new AoE kit for mages is so good that mageweave would go to vendor price by the end of the first week if they could go into ZF.
