Anyone else super curious how they’ll do the zones for the Midnight expansion?
Currently in WoW, there’s only really two zones that encompass “Quel’thalas” (Eversong, Ghostlands), unless you count Quel’danas which I kinda don’t.
They’re very small compared to current expansion zones, and they’ll have to put more in there to make it a standard “4-5 new zones” for Midnight.
During War Within, Xal’atath will raise the long-lost (super secret) islands surrounding Quel’thelas from the bottom of the ocean. Also, playable naga.
You know, I’d bet 5 copper on that. No wait. 5 silver, even!
maybe they will finally update those areas to allow flying , is only gonna take em like 10 xpacs

As long as they are proper Snake People and they don’t coward out and give them legs.
I’m super hoping they ignore Eversong and Ghostlands entirely, have new zones and rebuild Dalaran to ignore Silvermoon.
Because the tears would be delicious.

Well, the obvious answer is that the Quel’thalas front is only part of the expansion, or even not really that significant to the expansion proper as opposed to the storyline. (e.g., Cata started by trashing Stormwind and Orgrimmar, but didn’t spend a significant amount of time there in the expansion itself).
I can imagine them breaking up the Ghostlands quite a bit to have a scourge, void, and restored section. Then there should be an entire region for the Amani, as well as a newly built Isle of Quel’Danas that would likely have multiple levels, and for everything else the can just create new islands
