Zombie invasion test occured, it was hilariously bad *For the ghouls*

Players want to attack other players? Sounds appropriate.

Who said it was just to attack players? This is included with your dailies, you cannot complete your “Slay the scourge” quest without flagging yourself, it is a quest requirement for currency at the new quartermaster.

Sounds kind of like having to PVE in order to get good PVP gear. Or even having to do PVP to get essences.

PVE mains to PVP mains “looooooooooooool enjoy doing every mythic raid and dungeon and every daily quest so u can enjoy what you like”

PVE players to blizzard "it no fair we gotta pvp to do pve stuff, nerf plox, no fair.

Gotta love it. Ask PVE mains to deal with a slight inconvenience for a week compared to the entire inconvenience for PVP players that was BFA but hey you know…its fair right.

the only 2 things I wanted was new characters to be able to travel the city and do their starting quests.
And quest givers in general not to be Killed.

Any other change I didnt advocate for

I mean, he clearly does care on some level if he’s commenting on it and even telling his thoughts about it. How is that not caring? :man_shrugging:

uh… so something which was in a testing phase was bugged?

pretty sure that’s the entire point of testing.

at least the people who were present for the first couple of days of testing, got to have an absolute blast.

nothing really is going to be memorable about the event regardless.

People freaked out during the first day of testing when they weren’t working properly, and proceeded to make said change without looking at how it was suppose to function.

This one, we got to see how it functioned 100%, and thus it was…Poor. And I did throw this out on the general forums for the purpose of getting more attention on it…Cause I don’t want to hear “Well it’s only ptr” again…I’ve fallen for that one too many times.

I mean it should be memorable yes? Or no? I guess it depends on what you want from a one-time event.

Was actively planning on skipping all but the last week of prepatch because of this, glad to see it gone.

That’s kind of the point, basically since it was bugged on day one. People freaked out because the ghouls were by the book, unstoppable and unkillable…But someone didn’t get the memo that it was bugged so they just crushed their HP to nothingness before seeing how they functioned when they weren’t 99% dodging. Hence we got the test yest and they were obliterated in seconds.

So as of yesterday, we had our first official 100% functioning ghoul event. Catch my drift?

And then, when done, you unflag yourself and do the REST of the pre-patch?

the only event memorable was Legion… the rest is just terrible.

I can’t speak for the first/second scourge invasions but they had something there to be remembered for… this last 2 pre patches event there’s nothing memorable about them…

Not only from a reward point of view but also story/gameplay wise.

Which re-used dailies from the argent tourney and no lancing and random rare spawns…Don’t get me wrong but i’m not looking forward to war of thorns #2

A stress test is not the final product. It’s a test to determine server load and how it will affect things. That means the zombie health is not fully finished yet, it means that there may be more zombies that spawn.

The ghouls however are meant to be fragile. They’re ghouls, not abomination tanks, and the explosion ability they have causes a lot of damage and turns anyone who dies from it into a ghoul as well.

The ‘final moments of the Scourge’ are not actually the final moments of the Scourge. The Scourge is very much going to be a thing after this, only now it won’t have a master controlling it and keeping it in check.

This is one of those things that has to be hard for developers. Having a fun thing planned out in game only to be shunned by players because it doesnt come with an incentive to do so.

It shows that to some players the game is only gear score, achievement points, and mount tab.

I was looking forward to trying to hold off the slavering hordes of restless undead.

Oh well.
