Zombie Event Suggestion To Blizzard

Lot of People are complaining about the Event, Same here. I hate this Event, cause I am a Roleplayer!

Blizzard, do you know the difference between PvE and RP? Like it’s on the Realm Selection. I will give you the run down Blizzy

PvE - MMO Jargon for Player Vs Enviroment, these players are mostly for playing in game mechanics and participating in events such as the Zombie Invasion.

RP (Roleplay) - a Term not derived from MMO but it’s general well known. Roleplayers like to play their character out in a theatrical manner to immerse themselves. Players who rather indulge themselves in socializing and casual PvE here and there. Now, Roleplayers don’t usually enjoy such events as Zombie Invasion.

NOW, Alts or Toons. Alts are off hand characters people play when they get bored of PvE and or RP. Variety is the Spice of life, my blizzard.

Now why am I explaining this to you, Blizzard (who will probably not read this.)

Well, Instead of forcing this Event THROUGH OUT THE GAME. You could of kept this in game event to be exclusive to PvE realms while making it inaccessible to RP realms. People TEND to have Alts to cover all these aspects and if not? There would be a Minority of Roleplayers that would complain, cause they could still roleplay.

But no, you didn’t think. You forced this ENTIRE event in ALL realms. I know you could do this cause PvP servers was a thing at one point.

You didn’t think, you didn’t use COMMON BLOODY SENSE, and now people who are STRICTLY Roleplayers and have ALL their mains on RP Realms. Are now screwed and cannot enjoy the Game, World of Warcraft, for one entire week! Cause the one thing they love doing is now ruined.

A bunch of corpses LITTERING the streets of Stormwind is not immersion, being forced into PvP and being killed OVER and OVER again is not immersion.

Now, THIS is lore, this is a story being played out as we speak. But here is the thing about that- Roleplayers, don’t usually have such massive events tied to their characters. Like Major NPC’s and what not. There will be a few who will make characters that was affected by such things like Pandarens and Orcs with the whole Siege of Orgrimmar.

TL/DR

Think things through Blizzard, understand the sub categories of those who love and play this game. If people wanted to JOIN this event. They could make an ALT on a PvE realm- if they truely wanted to. Instead of, you know, having to rip away a fraction of WoW’s community fun and enjoyment, and giving them the big ol middle finger and basically ruin the game for them for a Week.

No way! I’m a roleplayer too and i loved this event because me and my friends made a scourge invasion event. It was pretty cool!

This is different because it affects the common people too, not just big NPCs. My main (this character) is a literal child IC and had no problem with the event since it’s just a thing that’s out of his control

You are wrong, it’s very immersive considering it’s current events and it’s a scourge invasion, it’s obviously not going to be pretty

You should be glad the event is as nerfed as it is right now. You clearly weren’t here for the WOTLK Zombie event. Entire towns were infected and left ravaged by the zombie hordes. It was glorious, and now you want to restrict it even more.

The zombies are ridiculously easy to kill, and the cure is right around the corner with an argent healer. This event is literally going to last 1-2 weeks and you’re complaining. This used to be a fun event, but people like you whining and winging about it have made it subpar to its glory days. So thanks for making what was a good event, pretty bad : /

NPC Zombies created by players despawn too fast. The zombies seem to have trouble getting into the cities at the start of an invasion. The event relies almost entirely on players to keep it going, but the player zombies are fairly weak. I understand them not wanting it to be the chaotic mess that was the PTR, but they over-nerfed the event.

UBER NERFED it more like it. Used to be a whole lot more fun back in WOTLK.

Good point, I agree with you here but people tend to like using such events AFTER it’s done and using it as a building block for a character’s backstory. Now I see people LOVE Rping it out but During the event. Zombies (NPC and Player) ain’t going to wait and will just kill your character.

For example, future RP toon I could see with a backstory of how this invasion has impacted their life and trauma that sort of thing…

Side note, I would love to RP as a Scourge. Like sitting on their undead horse and just, watching the battle in the Cities from a far, That would be amazing.

I do have a correction to make. I do love this event from a PvE aspect, I am on my PvE Alt and having a great time. EXAMPLE, Baoliu here. She is a Huojin Monk Medic and IC right now, she is trying to tend to the injured while defending them and herself.

After the event Baoliu is going to be mentally affected by this and will probably keep her distance from the Forsaken, since she is pandaren and she didn’t experience the first invasion.

I do appreciate the feedback instead of being told “OH it’s been nerfed” a million times!
