One presumes they never did the intro to BFA, but that’s ANCIENT content at this point, and Zidormi should show up regardless now. Especially since you have to take a death just to get to Undercity now.
Please put her in. People who are curious about the scenario will do it eventually. It’s not right to deny them entry to Holiday events over a lengthy off-topic scenario.
You need to do the BfA intro in order for Zidormi to exist.
Yes, it’s annoying and dumb.
This is Horde side, Alliance has an equivalent:
For the ones who can’t find Zidormi and are stuck on the present time after BfA expansion. Just need to go to Orgrimmar and get Battle for Azeroth: Mission Statement. Later, follow the quest chain until you speak with Nathanos Blightcaller and told him you already know the story that happened in The Battle For The Undercity. That’s should unlock you Zidormi in Tirisfal glades.
If you can’t get access to Battle for Azeroth: Mission Statement in Orgrimmar, you can go to Zuldazar and pick up the quest from Nathanos Blightcaller. The portal in the Org portal room won’t work for you yet; so go to the troll starting zone, Echo Isles southeast of Org, go wait on the dock and take a boat called the Golden Skipper to Zuldazar. In Zuldazar, start walking down the dock and Nathanos Blightcaller will meet you and give you the quest. Go back to Org, go to the Broken Tusk and Nathanos will join you there to turn in the quest. Before you drink the potion you may skip the scenario if you did it before.
She is only if you have done the BFA intro quest. Otherwise she is not. Had five people standing by me while I flipped back and forth between current and past. They could not see her.
Agreed, but it’s not hard to run to Stormwind or Orgrimmar, pick up the quest introduction for Battle for Azeroth, tell Jaina or Nathanos to skip the scenario, turn in the quest, then go back to what you were doing; it took me about five minutes today on this Druid.
And everybody who did it many times during BfA knows exactly what to do, so what’s wrong with those people who thought they could just do the content instead of starting an old expansion?
Its not hard for forum dwellers like me who know to do this. Its basically impossible if you’re a newer player.
Imagine a newer player gets told after dying to green smoke for no apparent reason to visit an npc that doesn’t exist to enjoy the holiday event and then hope they figure out that to have that npc exist they need to go back to the main city to start some random quest line that takes you to a different continent.
Blizzard really has some work to do on these bread crumbs. It’s a complete mess even for players who are familiar with the game.
Knowing is half the battle (for azeroth) it’s not straightforward if you have no clue that’s what is required. I think plopping her in there regardless hurts no one and helps plenty.
During brewfest it wouldn’t let me change to the right timeline on a character even though Zidormi was there.
I discovered I had a shadowlands quest or something in my quest log that was blocking my ability to change timelines and abandoning it brought back the dialogue option.
Where do they learn what quest to take? Is ther an NPC there saying “you need to do this old content, or skip it, to go throw stinkbombs in Stormwind”. No.
I had to look it up because I was confused no one else could see her. What hope does a new or returning player have at doing seasonal activities when the NPC is absent and there’s no quest giver nearby?
Lol think thats bad, went with my guild to knockout some old guild raid achivements decided to do Throne of Thunder as we’re all heading there i say “Heads up if you have not done the quest to get to the Isle of Thunder talk to the Belf and get sent there or wait for a summon” cue 3 people trying to fly dismounted in the ocean and a dieing to fatigue. Haha we had to synce rezzes with summons lol. Still Panda land was at minimum a decade ago the fact that the only way to ToT is a portal in the middle of Taolong Steppes is both silly and pointless but thats just how the game we all love works lol. P.s. want some funny coms get your guild to do throne and dont tell them how to get there.
The original story of Hallows end, which isn’t explained very well anymore.
But basically when Arthas became the lich king and got his butt frozen to the frozen throne, he passed out. When he did, a large portion of the Scourge woke up, memories intact and absolutely panicked. This was at the end of October, randomly, but basically they headed down south in Lordaeron until they found living humans in Southshore, and went banging on their doors in rhe middle of the night, begging for help.
The people of Southshore ALSO PANICKED and fought back against what they thought was a Zombie invasion. (It sort of was, but not like that). This is also why the undead faction is called The Forsaken. Because that is what happened to them.
So it is important that undercity is involved, since it is about The Forsaken.
But they really need to put Zidormi in the game for all players no matter the phase.
This ‘solution’ doesn’t work for all characters with this issue, nor should players need to find and run a bunch of old content just to access a holiday event.
This event should be relocated to Org for Horde or an event portal dropped in Org that only goes to the phased version of UC with the event NPCs.
I didn’t say it’s good design. I gave the info that worked for many— and yes, other threads have stated it doesn’t work for everyone. Some are saying the SL intro needs done, as well. All of this wasn’t determined until after this initial thread. Which was two days ago.
And then I said:
Because it very much is. All these years later and they still can’t get phasing right.
