Zevkir needs further nerfing. The challenge is very awesome and I, as a primarily single player, love to have some actual end game content. I have some feedback on this difficulty that I think most players would agree on.
Currently, the DOT and the cleanse from Brann is super RNG based and leads to a lot of failed attempts. An easy fix would be a player controlled Brann cleanse and interrupt. This would honestly just be a nice addition for all delves. Brann will randomly set up camp instead of when a player could actually benefit from it.
This end game content should be equal across classes and I feel that classes that have ranged damage as their primary dps are the most likely to succeed. This is due to primarily the web terrors and the overall movement needed. A DK cannot reach the web terror in time to appropriately deal with it in a meaningful way while also avoiding all the AOE from Zev. Nerfing these in some way or creating a boost for the melee classes would be a great adjustment.
Overall, I think that this is a great first step in the world of solo player endgame content. I am extremely excited to see it progress further but I do think this current state needs to be dropped down a little bit.
Its actually not as RNG as you you make out. Brann will try to cleanse anytime his ability is off CD. IIRC it’s a 30s CD. There should be a WA floating around to help. Plan accordingly.
It’s a hard boss. For sure. But not impossible and may take a bit of luck. But the more you play the more you see his patterns.
If you’re having trouble I would suggest looking into guides from other players who’ve had success.
Good luck!
For all intends and purposes this is RNG. You can’t track it without WA, which is part of the design problem as you have to rely on it.
It’s hard in the sense of:
- having to endure an extremely boring and slow progressing fight, the challenge here is that I don’t skip corners and die out of pure boredom. Not exactly AD(H)D friendly.
- Having to endure the RNG of being killed by an auto-attack
- Being able to spot the tiny potions Brann may or may not throw in the right spot
- Some specs having a significantly easier time dealing with some of the mechanics
I am by no means an expert when it comes to Weakauras, but I find it dubious to claim you can’t track it with one. The rope shows up as a debuff on Brann when it is put on cooldown. Buffs and debuffs is about the extent of what I use weakauras for, just to put the important ones where I can more easily spot them.
Where would I even see that? I’m not tracking people’s CDs, never had to, never should have. There’s no dedicated UI element for it.
If it shows up as a debuff, great, I’m sure that 10x10 pixels will be somewhere on my 1440p monitor, no clue where.
An icon is a dedicated UI element for it and the debuff appears on Brann’s nameplate straight out of the box for WoW.
saying ‘never should have’ is a conclusion. You can’t just lead with a conclusion. You have to give an argument for why something should or should be. If you don’t have one and it’s just the way you personally would like to play, that’s different than saying something that impacts hundreds of thousands of others ‘should be’ some way.
I have literally never seen this before. Brann doesn’t even have a nameplate for me.
