I noticed that the death knight movement ability wraith walk 100% removes the slow effect of spittle, however the dot persists. Yet if you are a warlock and you teleport the dot disappears, or if your a gnome and use escape artist the dot goes away. This seems inconsistent.
Has anyone encountered this issues with other classes?
Wraith Walk removes roots when cast, and it does not allow your movement speed to be reduced below 170%. However, it doesn’t remove snares, so much as limits how low they can make your movement. Because it won’t remove snares, it doesn’t cleanse the dot. The others you listed remove dots and snares, therefore they will cleanse the dot.
That said, because the dot is a magic effect, Antimagic Shell should stop it from hitting you if you prepop the shield.

Wraith Walk doesn’t cleanse slows, it just makes it so you can not be slowed below a certain amount for the duration.
Escape Artist cleanses the slow.
Soul Burn Portal make you immune which cleanses it.

Thanks for clarifying much appreciated. Kind of lame haha oh well, alternating brand and AMS is not super reliable and requires us to eat a couple spittle dots which is painful at times.
Doesn’t deaths advance cleanse slows …
No it doesn’t, I tested it.
So it suppresses just like Wraith?
No.
Again like Wraith Walk it just makes it so you can not be slowed for the duration.
Ah so then pre poping ams is the play.
“For 10 sec, your movement speed is increased by 35%, you cannot be slowed below 100% of normal speed, and you are immune to forced movement effects and knockbacks.”
I haven’t tested pre-popping death’s advance prior to getting hit with spittle but based on the description above shouldn’t it make you immune to it since it’s a “forced movement effect “?
Forced movement would be things like death grip and thunderstorm and ring of peace I think

Or maybe it’s just knockbacks and pulls.
Yeah so just pre pop ams before the cast gets off. You shouldn’t get any ticks since the debuff won’t apply

And race change to gnome for extra cushion for when bran dies. Just kidding I think with AMZ and a couple death strikes you can survive the dot damage. Anyways good discussion.
1 minute unless you are blood DK which has a talent to drop it by 20 seconds. Basically you need to get a weak aura to track brann’s cleanse and alternate with him to minimize Spittle uptime. The cooldown is long enough that you can’t negate every spittle. The other advantage if you were a gnome with escape artist (also a 1 minute cooldown) is you could potentially save a couple AMS’s to stand in the horrify circle while you are DPSing down the add in a corner . Gnomes are OP
