ZERO Shield Block Value on Tier 3?!?!

Why was all the Shield Block Value removed from Warriors Tier 3 set? Shield Slam was modified to get extra value from Shield Block Value and now warriors are forced to wear gear(Sanctified) that has NONE!?!

Yeah it sucks, I made a warrior in the earlier phases to try to build a block value pvp set but they stop adding BV after T1.

The haste is WAY better. What shoulder rune do you plan on using?

I completely agree with this take. All tanks for Naxx HM are being converted to dodge / parry tanks for Naxx, even though block valau was never the be all end all for mitigation it still mattered and was something you could gear towards if you wanted. Some of the most fun Ive had is running Kara on my 400 BV Paladin soaking tons of hits.

I think the solution could be a simple as them adding %increase on the seal of dawn key item similarly to how they did threat and health. Blocking is both a part of my kit, and the class fantasy. Make it have some sort of relevance.

All tank sets in naxx got nerfed. Idky. No one likes their set except for shaman and paly tanks.

Haste is not way better if you are trying to scale up Shield Slam damage, in fact haste does absolutely nothing to increase Shield Slam damage. The best way to scale it up by far is adding more Shield Block Value. Tier 3 used to have SBV on some of the pieces and it was all removed along with the passive SBV that was on Glyph of Deflection. I just don’t understand why.

Shaman tier 3 is terrible too, every piece gives shield block % which is also useless.
I think they should increase the block value from Seal of the Dawn. Then warr will shine again.

Block Value was never great, and that’s why it was removed and all blocks fixed to 30% damage reduction. They should’ve done that for SoD too.

The fact that they downgraded every tanks threat/mit kit and itemization this phase because they slotted in the shoulder rune and called it a magic bullet. Id be okay with more of it if they provided actual reasoning but giving warriors 200% Shield slam value and then providing no BV on next tier feels like “Oops we missed that sorry your class felt bad the whole phase” type oversight

I’d venture it was to keep the Item’s “stat value” down.

They also reaaaally want to make it so Naxx gear is for Naxx. Basically they’re borrowing Retail’s method of making ‘previous raid tier obsolete’, but using Stats instead of iLvl, accomplish this. - Naxx geared player will be doing about x2 the DPS as a P6 BiS Player in non-Naxx; but will be doing around x21500 more in Naxx (2k P6 BiS vs 43k P7 BiS; think I did the math right; 43k / 2k = 21.5k
I’m tired).

To that end, they’re likely removing as many stats or stat amounts as they can and funneling the “make up” into Seal of Dawn buff.

Warriors were having success going tank spec in pvp, the build revolved around shield slam
 Warriors cannot be dominant in anything outside a fight that lasts as long as a sunken temple trinket buff lasts, so it was removed.

I’d take a block that does 30% reduction. Against bosses, even in Normal Naxx where their dmg isn’t scaling, block is currently blocking around 10%-1% depending on the boss. When you get to HM it’ll be somewhere between 1% and .1%.

I’m not asking for huge power spikes outside of Naxx, I think what the majority of us want is to feel like the protection kit, the sword and board fantasy, is relevant in Naxx. Even as recently as AQ shield block value was relevant. Abilities like Shield Slam and Shield of the Righteous just simply can’t be used because they have no way of scaling like the majority of other abilities. What’s happening is entire parts of our tool kit just aren’t touched by the seal of dawn trinket, leaving them behind to be forgotten.

4pc give haste and 6pc is flat Dr shaman tank has best tank tier ATM ur cooked.

Block is weird. In Kara you can full block trash like skeletons or spiders but then raid bosses bust through block like it doesn’t exist.

That said, maybe that’s fine? It means that you can gear for different things, like gearing for single target vs AE on a damage dealer etc.
