but real tawk pve players can right out of the gate get insanely high keys and get gear REALLY easily. those who cant well its pretty much a skill issue but pve is VASTLY easier getting gear than pve cause pvp they lock conquest weekly only giving you about 1 piece every week
oh and pve players arent gear locked on day 1 so they can spam keys that they need to get the specific item they want no problem. also noone cares about raiders
But you CAN bring mythic raid gear into PVP and do fine with the exception of trinkets.
Because most PVErs are insanely bad at pvp.
You DO realize that I am a PVE main and am part of a HoF raiding guild, right?
Also, Iāve seen gladiators clear mythic raid, but Iāve only seen a fraction mythic raiders push glad.
If rated PVP at a gladiator level is harder than mythic raid (which the first 4 bosses have been LITERALLY puggable since week 2), why should the gear not be scalable to be used in PVE as well?
Any combination of 5 dudes with hands could complete weekly +10 keys and get 639 gear, Iād bet less than 10% of those players could play at a 2400+ level for pvp, so why should PVPers not get gear thatās also viable (still worse due to stats, but at least VIABLE in terms of Ilvl) for PVE?
But there are shortcuts. You can earn currency on one character and buy loot boxes for conquest gear or just transfer the honor and have a fully geared or partially geared character that youāve never pvped with that season. Youāre earning the gear, just like someone else wants to earn some crests and upgrade some gear. Itās not that serious.
Tag onto this, I hear so many mythic raiders saying āglad is easyā, and while objectively that is true for players like us, I always end up seeing that they cap out around 2k because they arenāt willing to put in the work.
I mean shortcuts in terms of transitions from PvE progression to PvP & vice versa.
We have standardized process. Itās fine. You will not play in PvP and swap to PvE and be able to perform at an equivalent level. Iāll do everything in my power to make sure that you never succeed.
Thatās kind of already a shortcut as well. I got two characters nearly best in slot for Conquest item level gear for pvp. Iād be real surprised if that was not vastly better than the gear I had when I first hit 80 for dungeons and raids. Having a way for pvp players to get crests that are useful sounds like a win. Blizzard is there to decide what work is worth receiving the crests, but if it became easier to get them I would not be sad.
No, Iām someone who dislikes adverse change in a negative direction.
I support the failure of others if their success derides the collective.
I want PvP to fail. Itās disgusting that PvE is in the state that itās in and if PvP didnāt exist, weād potentially have better resource allocation.
I donāt recommend someone who has not done normal raid or heroic raid to get conquest gear and suddenly be able to do mythic raid. What Iām saying is having a freshly dinged, 80, and having a fully pvp geared with tier set, embellishments, gems and enchants level 80 both learning normal raid together, the pvp geared player on day one is going to vastly outdamage or heal compared to the undergeared player. Again, for clarification, all the person recommended was a little bit more crest acquisition for pvp players. Finishing the pvp grind and then needing to start your pve journey in heroic dungeons is not the situation we have now, nor should it be the goal.
been proposing pve and pvp gearing sinergy for a while but it has to go both ways. If you are going to force pve players to pvp for gear (which is what this allows for) then you have to enable the other way round, pve gear working as good honor gear in pvp or similar.
People whine too much about this things, just enable ppl fool around in both modes. You need ppl playing doing more ingame not create bubbles. PVE trinkets should be usable on PVP (with PVP trinkets remainig top choice but closer) and thats it. Everyone can play everything.
Okay, big discrepancy here; you should never be FORCED to do the other archetype; PVP gearing should still be bis for pvp and vice versa for PVE. PVE SHOULD give crests faster and at a higher rate than pvp. I also donāt think that PVP gear should scale to mythic Ilvl until 2400+ which isnāt really feasible at the start of a season.
That being said, heroic raid gear and mythic raid gear DOES scale to pvp ilvl and, in a lot of cases, IS better.
Yes, Agreed 100%. Some carryover is good. Good players in one area should be able to transition to another instead of just getting screwed because you want to use your sparks/catalyst or w/e on one type of content.
Who cares either way. I would be totally fine with mythic raiding gear being viable in PvP as long as itās not BiS. It should be like PvP gear in PvE. Same i-level, but not ideal stats.
I completely agree. But I think we are in the minority.
It seems to be an unpopular opinion but I find having two unique types of gear paths and sockets unique to PvP vs PvE gear is over complicated. Gear should be gear.
Also if it boosts participation in either form of content, itās a win-win. I have no problem with PvEers getting a little boost and not starting from square one if they want to PvP. I wouldnāt even care if it was on par with PvP gear.
PvE gear -cannot- be BiS in PvP, though. That would ruin everything.
