Zereth Mortis Unlock on Alts that are mid-campaign

Hi everyone, I’m returning from having quit Shadowlands early on. I’ve been really enjoying Dragonflight, but want to explore the older Shadowlands areas and get some of the transmogs and farm the old dungeons/raids.

I read that you can automatically unlock Zereth Mortis on your alts once you finish chapter 3 of the 9.2 storyline and open the portal on at least one character.

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/306148#:~:text=To%20unlock%20Zereth%20Mortis%2C%20you,start%20the%20Zereth%20Mortis%20campaign.

I’ve completed up to “Forming an Understanding” and chapter 3/7 of Zereth Mortis campaign on one character.

Supposedly, you’re supposed to be able to talk to Tal-Inara and get the option to skip. Problem is, on my various level 60-something (and 70) alts, that have varying degrees of completion of the original Shadowlands campaign, the option is not there.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or is the skip only available to fresh 60s who have not yet begun the Shadowlands story?

Yeah, there is something wrong. Or in this sense, “correct” to some people.

Shadowlands doesn’t exist.

You have to do a dialogue thing in Oribos and “skip” things by talking to the quest givers. Once you skip them Korthia should open. When you talk to them there is an option like “I’ve heard this story before and want to skip it” Then you may need to re-log.

(EDIT: Sorry, I misread your question at first)

I have numerous alts in various stages of the campaign or threads of fate and cannot skip. The only characters I have successfully skipped anything on had nothing in shadowlands or made progress on the main campaign.

That being said the skip to zereth mortis has not works on any characters and I believe it is broken or has hidden criteria. I cant get call of the primus and my main has completed all chapters in zereth mortis then nothing is available.

Don’t waste your time on a support ticket. 11 days will get you nothing other than you must have progressed too far to skip. I am literally holding the call of the primus quest line which is the skip spot…
