I’ll be waiting a bit before I get back into wow. SL really burned me out in a bad way. These last few weeks have been great, it’s almost like a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders by just not logging in. Don’t get me wrong I like wow(not SL), I just don’t want to feel like the game is playing me. I want the game to return to it being a fun experience and not a tedious chore list to tick off every day.

I’ve always wondered how people who only quest stay subbed to the game. Like, yeah, there’s 17 years of stuff to do up to now, but every patch drip feeds you a quest a week for like 2 months. How do you justify it to yourself if that’s all you care about?

Well you got a little r2 to level up. The quests just get you into the zone to then begin the grind of borrowed power stuff.
I’m not saying it’s great but there’s about 30 min to an hour of stuff each day. Which frankly in top of group content is plenty.
I’m almost done too, guess I’ll have time to finish korthia and the covenant campaign for good.

Really wish Blizzard would realize how godawful it is for a patch to end in under 2 hours.
I’ve played 2 hour games on Steam. You know what I do? Refund them. Because no, it’s not worth the money if it ends that fast.
I understand WoW isn’t a single player game focused on story. They expect you to farm dungeons and raids for months for gear and achievements. I get that and enjoy it to some extent. But come on. Put some god damned content in the game before we default to that.

They should have left it in where you had to farm all the rares, I guess.
But then you’d all complain OMG IT’S SUCH A GRIND.
So instead they take it out and shift it to a smaller number of quests.
And then you all complain OMG THERE’S NOTHING TO DO.
What’s hilarious about ZM is that during the development cycle, it went through all those phases. So everybody got to complain about everything.

Haven’t visited the zone yet. Was in the middle of gathering my 1000 anime for covenant quests and then the server lagged out. Logged off and did other things.
Edit: oh, I also went and switched my travel form to the new cheetah form.

What group content? lol. I mean it isnt too bad because elden ring/lost ark/destiny/gw2 etc. is coming out that can pass the time.
Even when we get to the week of raid/mythic+, 4 hours of raiding a week roughly, 30 mins of daily stuff, lets say you max out mythic vault and time them about 40 minutes.
Doesn’t seem too bad for content, until you add in that it is all repeat content. Then you start taking away the content ppl dont enjoy. Then you take away content that is just straight boring after a couple days so you start skipping it.
Half of this loses its luster very very fast and most of it you end up running only because you have to, not for much enjoyment.

Im pretty sure people complained that the ONLY way to grind was to kill rares, and the ONLY way to grind was a small amount of quests a day.
It is almost as if there is a weird middle ground that exist. Nope guess not.
