Zen Pilgrimage isn't returning monk to departure point

I used Zen Pilgrimage in Southern Barrens to go to Peak of Serenity to pick up the experience boost quest. After completing the quest and getting the buff I used zen pilgrimage to try to return to Southern Barrens, but was just dropped at Peak of Serenity again. I had to use the portal to Stormwind to get back to the original game world, which placed me far away from my starting point of Southern Barrens.

I’m having the exact same issue.
Zen Pilgrimage’d from the entrance to Silvermoon - and even standing on the exact square that I appeared in the Zen Pilgrimage just leaves me in the exact same spot.
It’s been 6 months since this initial report - any fix?

I reported via the game Help screen as well:
“Zen Pilgrimage is not returning me to where I came from. I can see this bug was reported back in December of '19 via the forum, but there’s no reply there, and it’s clearly still a bug. I don’t know how to get back to Silvermoon via Ogrimmar - and I shouldn’t have to!

Zen Pilgrimage spell used at the entrance to Silvermoon, and brought me to the Shrine of the Ox
I’ve tried the spell a half dozen times.”

It might be an error in time difference between first and second use (maybe the game doesn’t “remember” when you used it).

Can confirm this is happening to me on a monk I started in Shadowlands. Zen Pilgrimage has never returned me to the starting point any time I’ve tried, seeming to just be a one-way trip to the temple instead.
