So trying to progress in delves. Collecting keys, doing world stuff and doing delves. Enter Zekvir. He constantly fears you so he is impossible for a solo to take down. Loads of fun. Not. I don’t know who the game is targeting, but it isn’t me. I cancelled and am going to take a long break. Maybe in a year it will seem fun again. I’m just tired of it now - more stress than fun.

Is this in all delves or just his delve?
The first time Zekvir popped up on me I had flashbacks to the butcher in D4. Won the first but lost royally on the 2nd due to it being during a difficult mob. Winning got me a nice weapon and losing got me a map that granted me loot on my next delve. So, it is basically the season gimmick, either way you are going to get rewarded. As long as you do not forget to pick it up after Zekvir leaves, I almost passed it up not realizing it dropped.

Twice for me. Perhaps it only shows in bountiful delves? Last was in the Kriegval’s Rest delve in that room with all the burning spinning candles. Fear Fear Fear burn burn burn. Ok, I don’t need this. I don’t know what demographic its geared toward, but I’m not in that demographic 
I probably just need a very long break.
He has only appeared once for me, in the middle of a bajillion spider eggs in Dread Pit. I got him down but with a lot of dipping in and out between eggs. Got a Delver’s Bounty map which gave me nothing useful after the next Tier 8.
Maybe don’t stand in the very obvious purple circle around him that he takes a long time to cast?
He is very much soloable, easily so compared to what he is in his actual lair. He doesn’t even summon his add when he shows up in a delve.

He jumped into our group in the candle delve. It was so ‘fun’ getting feared out of the light while dealing with the big group we’d already pulled. I almost lasted until he bailed but the damage taken from being outside the light eventually caught up to me. (His fear circle was bigger than our candle safe spot, lol!)
I could do without the fear but the loot he drops is a good compensation for dying. Unfortunately, since there’s no previous history with Zekvir, I didn’t feel that jumpy OMG flee! fear that I always got when the Butcher jumped me.

Zekvir popped for me solo in one of the underwater delves. Doing tank dps while dodging mechanics and managing air took like 5 minutes to kill him.

I do not know. I would not test it, I feel like it would be treated like an unopened treasure chest than loot drops.

i have ran i dont know how many delves at this point and ive yet to see this dude

Zekvir is brutal, I pretty much book it away from him at 9+, even at 8s I usually wom’t stick around if the pack he ganks me on is bad. That said, he seems to leash and back off if you retreat enough, not sure how, if at all, it effects his loot drop

He randomly pops up in all delves at the same time (from what Ive heard).
Happened to me and I wasnt expecting it. Got a nice achievement for dying to him. (similar to the Cata/Deathwing achievements)

I don’t mind dying to him over and over.
I do mind getting tells from him calling me a punk after my 8th attempt though. No need for that kind of poor sportsmanship.

It’s not constant, it’s on a timer. You do realize you can avoid the fear right? It’s called learning mechanics.

My question is, do they do this in Mythic+ and Raids? Delves were SUPPOSED to be solo focused content. But with crap like Zekvir, which is virtually impossible to solo, it seems more and more like Delves were REALLY just another piece of group content, but one which can theoretically be soloed.
Not surprised to find out they are still giving solo players the shaft. Just kind of disappointed.

When zekvir enters your delve you only need to get him to 50% HP and he runs away, as long as he doesn’t appear at a bad time he is a push over and even if he does appear at a bad time, he just kills you once and leaves a gift behind for you.

It may be that I am just not the l33t player that some people are, or maybe that my Brann is not levelled up as high as he should be for the tier of delve I am doing, but Zekvir has killed me every time that I can remember him showing up. And I don’t like dying.
I would VASTLY prefer to just face what I signed up for. If I want a nice surprise I’ll play the lottery. If they wanted to throw random power mobs at us in delves, why put a label on them with a suggested minimum iLvl? Except for the random Zekvir BS the label is pretty accurate.
Do they do this in the other gear progression paths? Randomly have some mob more powerful than the end-boss pop up in the middle of the instance?
He showed up for me twice so far and he always comes in when I’m already fighting a pack lol. I mean I try to down him as much as I can but I don’t even try to kill him for now. Just use him as a nuisance until you’re better geared later.
