Zekvir is what happens when you don't test content on PTR, only live wow

And its very showing the devs who made this probably also do not play this level of content. If they did, they’d know that this is in fact not a boss fight dependent on skill but purely RNG and thats the most frustrating part. You need to roll the LITERL PERFECT RNG pull to kill him, which can take HUNDREDS of pulls and play 100% perfectly at that. This is such a BAD FIGHT. I m capable of killing him but it all comes down to what he does, and often times just sits on top of me while I try to kill the egg with fear, spikes, nd webbing que’d one after another. WHY? Cause its untested content and they didn’t take any feedback in PTR before making this live.

Changes proposed to make this not fighting RNG but require skill:

-Brann takes 90% reduced damage but cannot hold aggro
-Zekvir cannot “cast que” multiple abilities back to back. 5 seconds between each one after finishing another.
-Zekvir’s cannot crit on melee hits. Being 2 shot by 2 melee crits isn’t right.
Zekvir has a higher chance to aim his abilities onto brann when the eggs is out to allow the player to kill the egg.
-Zekvir will no longer cast heal after egg(he can spawn the egg other side of room then cast heal making it impossible for one or the other)

These changes would make him a skill-based fight, instead of a RNG based-fight that has 0% skill in it and just roll the dice.

Edit: Title won’t allow ?? so putting it here. Talking about Zekvir ??.

Edit 2: Beat him after over 10 hours. I got a lucky run where Brann didn’t die so much and I just had to respond fast enough to every skill he did. Didn’t feel like a great victory over a hard challenge but rather I beat RNG.

Idk…would still love it if Brann takes more of the beating than I do… especially since he revives himself a few moments after death. I don’t need a giant bug man punching in my face. I mean I’ll act like Peach and Daisy from Smash brothers and throw Brann out front if need be but it’s kinda scary when Zekvir can apparently one shot people in plate or god forbid that perma fear he can do that if it hits you and you can’t remove it that’s the end of your attempt…I mean who in their right mind thought a perma fear was a smart idea when not many classes cleanse that?

zippy is tough bros

I’m looking to push him over this week, ? was a smidgen too easy.

I agree. The fights design is dog doodoo.

Hes essentially a damage sponge that you need to ignore in favor of the adds he spawns, while also ONLY having one shot mechanics, and crits for more health than your character can have.

Its just not fun to fight him at all. Im ok with mechanics being punishing if i dont move, but guess what? Im stuck with 200+ ms because Blizzard here cannot be arsed to put a south american server, so his dumb fear hits me when im outside the circle cuz the netcode just didnt feel like moving me in time.

Ill try his ?? fight again once i get way better gear so that i dont get one shotted by a crit, hopefully, but this entire fight mustve been made by some intern with no experience in gaming.

I can’t even do it on ? difficulty with 580 ilvl, so I’m not going to bother until I get another 30 ilevels or so.

I got him to 20% on my warlock and got 3 back to back 3million auto attack crits. BACK TO BACK. I took over 9 million damage in under a few seconds.

I dont understand why they made him crit on auto attacks. 1 of those attacks is half my hp and I HAVE to face tank him a bit because he’s absolutely demolishing pets in 1-2 hits already.

you are a warlock, put curse of weakness on him and he can’t crit.

Im using curse of tongues so I can delay spittle so I can use my demonic circle to remove it. Otherwise im stuck with spittle doing about that same dmg.

The point is: It sucks that his auto attacks can crit you (not from behind). And I didnt realize it till he dunked on me past P2.

Having brann (or any other pet) tank might actually make the fight harder if you play ranged

This one’s probably a good idea, but also don’t turn your back to the boss.

But the down time while he’s casting is just free damage time while not getting melee’d.

Again, this gives the player less opportunity for skill expression in aiming the cones away from the eggs, and adds to the RNG of the fight because who knows where brann is going to stand.

You really don’t.

I did him on a warlock using weakness.

Just pre-cast circle a few times with either Diabolist or Soulburn.

If you ask me it’s the mythic raid equivalent of solo content. Have you watched how many mechanics stack up in the RWF? that takes skill, but it also takes a huge level of rng as well.

Were you in the PTR helping test?

Please explain what you mean. Because im so frustrated with this fight at the moment, and I dont mind hitting my head on hard fights, but this is aggravating.

Im doing it as demo: precast my circle, but teleport has a 30 sec cd. So I use tongues to bump his cast time up so I can safely circle EVERY spittle. How are you using weakness but still removing spittle (Im assuming different spec)?

I did it as Diabolist Destro, but the key part there was Diabolist.

Soul-Etched Circles on the diabloist tree means that using circle will prevent the application of the dot for the next 6 seconds after you use it, as well as giving you a speed buff. You can get this effect without Diabolist, but it requires you to soulburn your teleport.

Oof, he’s not even close to being as difficult as a mage tower challenge.

Solo’d this guy in under an hour dps spec. The nerfs made him faceroll.

He really wasn’t that bad and it didn’t take anywhere close to “hundreds of pulls” lol

It must be late but im sorry im not understanding. That seems to be exactly how im using it. However that extra 6 sec of no dot landing still puts me within the NEXT spittle window. So did you just save all your defensive for then (IE: immune one and eat one)?

I had found the debuff to generally be on a 28-29 second CD, which would often get extended in P2 by spell queueing with other casts.

So you can still purge it after the 1st few ticks.
