Indeed, Im just dying now to stupid RNG over and over. I have the dps, I can survive the melees, but you can’t account for the RNG. its horrendous. Best part is when he does an AOE fear then another ability right after while im trying to get the egg within 5-10 seconds. Clearly devs don’t play wow to this extent.
This is what i was talking about. This encounter, in my humble opinion, is not meant for casual players.
It truly is a dance. Dodge this, cleanse that, kick the spittle, get out of the cone, kill the egg or waste precious interrupts so you dont get stunned and killed, oh FEAR CIRCLE.
It literally has you using all your abilities loke youre not used to.
This issue happens everywhere, whenever a queued ability is cast the indicator is usually late, it happens in Grim Batol too and I’ve died a few times to it. ;…;
The ?? fight is heavily dependant on your class and potentially even some RNG for how easy it’s going to be for you, I was just able to complete it as a Windwalker Monk at ilvl 600 with cobbled together gear, no tier, and a Queen crest crafted weapon whereas I attempted many, many times on 614 full tier Devastation Evoker, I just couldn’t do it without feeling like I needed absolute perfection and not having Brann die at all.
Meanwhile during the WW Monk attempt he died 3 times and was still smooth sailing during Black Blood phase, all simply boiled down to the fact that I felt I actually had the proper tools to deal with everything, which I would majorly say is always being able to cleanse off Spittle in some way, since Dev Evoker’s only choice is using deep breath to cleanse it on a 1 minute cooldown, otherwise you are beholden to Brann brain and your defensives which can weather the storm but not if Brann is dead or if Zekvir just decides to crit melee you.
Modern blizz: “Just push out the content and we’ll try to fix it later after getting the players to test it for us”
I had to walk away. Lol. Went in on ??. I didn’t even know he did a black blood phase, got him to 18% and he starts casting purple circle. I shimmer out of it, and it kills me. >.>
Oh well, it’s definitely doable. But, lord, that is frustrating AF.
I’ve had several 20% pulls at this point on WW monk. The most infuriating part is when some little thing goes sideways and you’re just dead. Cds are on cd, because they don’t reset on death for w/e reason in there. So you wait for them to come up, rebuff if wanted, and go in for another pull. I have been clipped by that frontal cone idk how many times now. It never fails I’m across the room so it’s wide af. I use roll, lighter than air dash and get clipped by the edge of the cone… purely frustrated I just log off. Then a few hours later I log in and give it another go lol.
Brann needs a 1 time per encounter battle res. If that was the case I’d probably have the thing done already
Describing modern gaming in general.
Cyberpunk launch sounds familiar?
Nope. Every run as WW.
This fight is still so overtuned. melee attacks are hitting for 4mil, overlap mech when brann wont use his rupt. its like playing in pug groups.
? level is beyond easy now. Every class has at least one spec that can do it around 600 i level or even lower.
It’s not. The fight is easily doable at a 605+ item level.
? Mode is a cake walk.

Well, finished it. Geared up my warrior a bit more, tightened the talent build to really be suited for what the fight requires, with Avatar, Bladestorm, and Odyn’s on hand to deal with the spittle. Then it was a mix of RNG for a good pull, getting the +damage chance from Amorphous Relic, and not having egg placements near the back of the room.
I still hold that the fight is A) unbalanced for certain roles and B) needs better tuning per spec. The DPS requirements are still too high for tanks and other than the survivability tools on hand that they’ll have over DPS, their innate survivability is completely negated by Zekvir hitting that much harder against tanks. This is a one-size-fits-all Mage Tower and it suffers for it, imo.
The egg HP needs to be balance on a per spec basis since it’s such an integral part of the fight. And there needs to be a better way to handle the spittle for specs that don’t have a lot of slow clearing options.
Non demonology Warlocks don’t have an interrupt… guess that’s not an issue… I guess.
Yeah we do.
Paladins get to freedom the only thing in there that hurts - the DoT, that a bunch of specs can’t effectively deal with and also can’t stop most of the time because the heal is going to come too soon to interrupt the spit.
How’s that?
You use felhunter.
As someone who’s done the ?? version solo, if you think you use voidwalker on zekvir you are terribly mistaken, its bait.
I’ll give that a shot, thanks for the tip.
Most specs have a snare immunity so what exactly are you trying to say again? You never interrupt the dot, that’s just flat out playing badly
