Zaralek Caverns, Mobs (rares) are too difficult and its deadzone, Please tune this down

I skipped the Zaralek caverns for the most part because it was kind of dead when it came out and just OP mobs back then, so I did some stuff but basically swapped over to classic and Diablo during that period, coming back with even higher gear and going back over to that zone to do rep or WQs. This zone’s rares are just way to OP, ALOT of rares over there are almost impossible unless your a hunter with a tank pet specc’d into mend and heals and have infinite kite.

Please fix this zone.

I think all rares should start out with high hp until people who want to get there all have a chance, and after 2 minutes of being up, drop to 1 player hp amounts, and just scale up if more people hit later. Also the rares should all do very little (even less than now) damage to enemies because there might not be a tank. This includes mobs in even the newest zone.

I think Blizzard paid attention to the complaints, with the Emerald Dream rares being mostly soloable except the spawned in ones. It’s a cakewalk there compared to the caverns or forbidden reach, which both of those zones had so much to offer but were skimmed over too quickly in the expansion. A lot of assets went in to creating those zones and they made them unplayable without other players participating.

And yet, looking at the group findet tool under custom i always see a couple ZC rares going.

Yeah, i’ve tried that. I post a group and see nobody for an hour. I also refresh the current postings. Blizzard is so dumb for not adjusting this content. There’s mounts, pets, toys, etc all locked here that they wasted time making

Well reality is, these are all account drops so once you get em, theres no reason to farm those rares anymore.

I was there, 1st 2 weeks, just like Forbidden Reach, and just like the Emerald Dream, and just like everyone else, we got all the drops…

I posted in a thread yesterday that the issue is mostly the reward vs time.

No one wants to spend their game time downing no challenge inflated HP mini world bosses for 40g and 20 island supplies, no rep, and nothing else either.

If blizzard made it so once you got all the drops, they dropped 2k gold once a week people would do them for example.

This is the sad part, I was at ZC too and remember the rares not even lasting enough time to fly there. They did a great job with the zone, but when nobody needs it anymore it’s just trash and it only lasts two weeks.

I love your idea of making there be a world quest or something for going back. Or a “Kill 3 rares” quest.

They just made all this cute and adorable content and it went to waste…

Like doing the events to get the tokens for this mount is so awful:

Let’s not forget that Blizz ruined that when they changed the way rares worked in ZC and said something along the lines of “killing rares was not intended to be a primary activity”

In this expansion, they have built zones around killing rares while also making it incredibly unrewarding. Well, other than the Forgotten Reach. That was pretty well done.

And now, in ED they have managed to make the rares and seeds pointless with their changes.

I don’t think Blizzard is ever going to bother tuning down the difficulty of stuff like Zaralek Caverns and Primalist Future at this point. The Primalist Future World Quest event is especially bad and will probably never be possible to solo.

I have never seen that, nor anyone joining if I formed a group. Never had this problem in FR but ZC? total deadlands.
