Zandalari Troll unlock from doing ALLIANCE achievements?

I know you need a 120 horde character, and to have earned exalted with the right faction, as well as completed all the story achievements for the horde zones in BFA (Zandalari Forever)…

My question however relates to the last requirement, which is having the “Tides of Vengeance” achievement… which I have completed on the Alliance side. Do I need to do this achievement again horde side to finally unlock Zandalari Trolls? Or will the achievement Ive earned on alliance count towards it?

It would be nice to hear from someone who has done it this way, Or the mirror opposite (having done the achievement horde side but unlocked the Kul Tirans on the Alliance)

( I know sometimes account wide achievements work across faction, which is how I unlocked flying in BFA).

A quick perusal through your achievements tab would show you there are two different Tides of Vengeance achievements. You must get the correct Horde / Alliance one.

I did notice that…

However… I used my Tides of Vengeance achievement (alliance) to unlock pathfinder (flying) when I had done everything else on the Horde side. Clearly blizzard seems to allow account wide achievements for certain things.

I thought that perhaps it might work similar to that when unlocking the allied troll race.

get both sides done and you also get mounts

Pathfinder’s progress is account wide. Not Tides of Vengeance. Both Tides of Vengeance achievements are individual achievements.

Here, lemme check though. There’s an easy way to check all things considered.

Edit: Yeah, you need both. I just checked on my 120 Alliance character and I do not have credit for Tides of Vengeance despite having Zandalari trolls already unlocked.

You need both. One for each side. I have done both Horde and Alliance.
