Golden Yak was all class and lots of fun to communicate with. Farewell to one of the best CMs of WoW history.
It would be ironic if some of the people who have found themselves with no income today were responsible for something you enjoyed in game or were going to enjoy in game.
Whatās so gross about his hair? Itās not like itās dreadlocks
Most guys would kill to have a head of hair like that, at least the ones that are going bald.
Farewell Ythisens
We might clash heads sometimes, but honestly I can appreciate that you and a few others I disagree with from time to time arenāt like that. I will admit it. Just imagine being that scornful and rude as to be estatic that someone is in pain and sad from losing a dream job. Itās mind boggling.
So how long you guys think it will take for another blue to show up on these forums thatās not Ythisens? 4 months? 5? 6? A year?
Place your bets.
Sending positive vibes to the people who were laid off.
3 months!
Maybe 1 month?
Guess blue tracker will be stale from now.
Never. We wonāt have any blues left.
I didnāt always agree with what Ythisens said, but he talked, more than most CMās out there and cared. This isnāt fair at all, Iāll miss you .
What a crazy time.
Ythisens - Capable, generally liked, does job. Somehow non-essential.
Lore - Almost completely absent from all social media except to plug his Twitch channel. Generally not liked. Job revolves entirely around not setting up streams properly, asking Ion easy questions, and talking about his shaman. ESSENTIAL.
Blizzard, we are not okay with this.
Truthfully, the only people I know with hair like that: play in 80s tribute bands, or are beginning transition surgery.
He was like the last Blue that posted on these forums that I actually liked.
Archenon poros great yak.
I really hate to say it, but some times it comes down to seniority over skill. It depends on the company. And itās a shame that Activision/blizzard chose based on seniority and not ability in this case.
It really sucks that Yth got cut, it really does. Layoffs are the absolute worst thing ever. Hopefully he finds new work soon.
Not very confident right now, despite this messageā¦ Iām glad theyāre getting taken care of. But this justā¦ I donāt know. Doesnāt seem necessary. Iām not claiming to know everything about a corporation. Far from it. I justā¦ it seems soā¦ not cool to do right now.
Fallynn, itās so easy to forget that real human beings are behind the avatar. I know Iāve been guilty of this and if Iāve been unkind to you please accept my apology. This terrible news today has woke me up a bit. I cannot believe how cruel and heartless some of our fellow posters are. I know it can get really toxic here but I honestly expected more from people. More understanding, more compassion toward others and less selfishness about a freakin game we play.
One of the coolest people Iāve ever known had hair just like that. His nickname was twisted and that dude pulled chicks for days. Iād rather hang around long hairs than hipsters any day of the week.
@Ythisens
It was our honor to have you serve as our CM and our voice. Good luck in your next Conquest.
Starla, I agree entirely. Iāve likely gone a bit far in my cruelty as well (though not in this thread, the person I called out entirely needed to be). I expected more as well, Iām glad most of us can come together as a community and feel sad as fellow human beings about the loss of someoneās job, a job that they clearly loved. And yeah, we have to remember itās just a game. Weāre all so passionate, which is a beautiful thing. But serious things like this need to be handled with care, and Iām glad most of us are mature enough to handle it.
