Agreed Crepe (3d graph). Part of the problem is, if you have 2 abilities on the GCD that furnish 12 sec buffs but it takes 5 sec to cast them . . . well you don't need to be Einstein to see how that works.

This is what Crepe means when he points out its good to be specific on what doesn't feel good. If you're naming specific things we can take a closer look and figure out if we want that interaction.

In the Beta we saw this change had the strange effect on Warriors where they still needed to stack all of the Cooldowns but essentially lost several seconds hitting them all. We were able to adjust the abilities and duration to account for this so that you can still play it that way, but you were no longer sitting there spending the first 10 seconds of a fight hitting all of your cooldowns and then hitting an actual damage ability. Everyone agrees that isn't fun. Warriors gave us detailed feedback(some in the form of a meme) about that window that allowed us to rethink it and change it to fit within the GCD changes.

Class Design is something that is never truly finished and it is a constant iterative process, and just because it's in the game now doesn't mean the potential for change is gone. If you're talking about it, we see it. Just be detailed with the spec and the abilities that has those interactions that you think don't feel good.

This is a quote from ythisens. Several mage abilities suffer from the same issue as the warrior example mentioned in this quote. If they can get a change why can’t we?

For example, to get the most out of your 10 seconds of arcane power (9 with gcd)... Before you cast AP, you must activate charged up to get 4 charges, presence of mind to get two castless arcane blasts, rune of power for the extra dmg buff, Time warp to get the haste buff, class racials, and finally you may click arcane power to start spamming arcane blasts which is our first damaging ability clicked after 4-5 spells of set up.

Due to all these buffs being on the GCD, mages end up in the same situation as warriors were as mentioned in the above quote.

I know the other specs suffer from a similar issue as well and can leave it to others to properly explain their rotations. Thank you!
Arcane Power is the last thing you hit before bursting. The sequence is Charged Up -> Rune of Power -> Arcane Power -> Arcane Blast until 2 seconds then use Pom and Blast to close the Rune of Power with. We don't open with PoM.

On the topic of feedback, it doesn't matter, we have given so much feedback since Nighthold and still Blizzard does not respond to Arcane threads outside of walking back Mana Adept.
Agreed lol, no one should ever be hitting AP first. At most you are losing 1 second of AP cast time from the GCD and POM actually makes up for the time lost by allowing you to fit in 2 extra AB casts at the end. The only application I could see a mage spec causing issues would be like if Fire combustion was on the GCD, which thankfully it is not.

I believe my formatting made you misunderstand... I did list that I hit AP last. But the point of the post is showing that before we start bursting we have about 4-5 spells of set-up all of which are on GCD before we click AP. Thus we have about 5-6 seconds of every fight wasted on setting up then we can finally click a damaging ability. Exactly as he listed in his post for Warriors.

But I guess no one here is concerned too much with how GCD affects AP or the set up so thread can die now :p
Presence of Mind is not on the GCD. Have you ever actually played Arcane?

Sigh.
