Honestly, it’s not as much “simping” as it is realization that the crusade that she and the rest of the AU Draenei went on was literally nothing compared to what the orcs did during their murderous phase.
For instance, did you know that Garona Halforcen was literally the child of Maraad’s sister, Leran? wanna know how Leran got pregnant?.. It wasn’t willingly… and she was murdered soon after giving birth.

Yes, everyone knows about Gul’dan using one of his warriors to breed a female draenei to make Garona. But to be fair Gul’dan is supposed to be an orc incel and he is supposed to be super duper evil. Most of the Horde was just regular evil at that time.
But also Yrel will become evil in an xpac or two, I expect her to bomb an orphanage or something.

Youa re absolutely right, there’s literally nothing wrong with killing orc heathens. Specially when the naaru told her their practices were endangering the planet.
It will be if Blizzard needs to properly convince us that the Light is a villainous force that isn’t about balance so much as it is based on subjugation.
Honestly, if anything though, I’d like to see the Lightforged as villains. Give the Alliance a good crusade they can rally behind to stoke their bloodlust. Will make things interesting.
And the rest became zealous warriors of virtue, and angelic avatars of the light.
Seems like some edgelord writer decided to just take another devout character and make them bad because he’s some kind of anti-religious misanthrope.
