I think it’s a pretty simple conceptual change - make it so that people can’t show up for the last 25% of the shard and tag the cultists - or some other merit based system.
The worst part is how they roll up with 5% left on the shard and start spewing toxicity at the people who have been at the shard whittling it down. “Easy loot” “Rats” “Snipe better noob” “join a raid, don’t pleb the shard”
I rage logged tonight. I said some sh^^ I shouldn’t have in /s. This is so frustrating. I know I let them win - I know I should have better emotional regulation but I’ve been trying to get my chest piece for 3 days. I’ve seen it once and a druid took it…

Shadows are tagged to whoever spends the 8 Necrotic Runes 1st.
This always happens when this event is out in Classic (and WotLK).
Blizzards response to it is “tough luck”.
I have the macro. I spam my interact key. Just not fast enough I suppose.
I have a dps and tanking set, and dps set on my alt.
Its really not that difficult to get a shade
ive done event 2x before, on pvp servers then.
it was ruff, real ruff but doable.
atm in SOD on a pvp sever it is F’d. even spaming macros i still miss tags bad lag/delay. 2-3 full raid groups trying for the same crystal, lag gets worst, im spamming my macros only to loose tag everytime.
Unless Blizzard has changed this which knowing Blizzard, they could’ve but as far as I know this is not true as the way I got my Heart of Doom (before they changed it to be an object for the very first one) was I was in a 5 man group where someone in my group tagged the Shadow and that was after none of us spent any runes to summon them cause there was so many people there, we didn’t have a chance to.
the toxic people are the ones forming the raids. they are literally asking someone to spend their runes gearing strangers. the people complaining about snipers are the same ones without a script leeching off others with them. you arent entitled to something just because you occupy a space. how about this conceptual change the tagger gets the x30 runes HRd to compensate them for your loot.
Should just make the items BoE…
I’m still gonna laugh if this isn’t a permanent version. Because you know PUGs will demand you have 3/3 to join because of the Sanctity mechanic. Meaning anyone ‘late’ or alts will be lucky to do Naxx.
((Been glancing and seen nothing about the duration of the Invasions. So I’m assuming they’ll be here until Naxx opens and then gone. Ya, there’s an “assumption” they’ll last the entirety of P7. But it’s not been confirmed as far as I know.))
There was actually a post stating that the invasions will last at least the duration of the whole phase.
