This might come as a surprise to the people that joined in Legion, but before this you weren’t showered in loot this much.

the problem is that people who liked the loot stayed while the people that would have wanted “meaningful” loot left and found other games. now they’re making this change for the people that liked loot showers

But loot wasn’t this stingy pre-WoD. Go do a 10 main raid and enjoy the singular piece of loot.
Remove trade restrictions (Or give us ML back), and I’ll happily deal with this. But having this horrid personal loot garbage added on with minimal loot dropping is jut aggravating. I don’t want a 3 ilvl upgrade when a guildy could get a 16+ ilvl upgrade

Interesting that you’ve made this post on a level 10.
I’ve played since the very beginning of TBC, I didn’t used to receieve one piece of gear or a conduit every 5-8 dungeons. I’m not asking to be showered, but when I’ve run 10+ mythic pluses and I’m still rocking Sorrowbane…it’s getting a bit old.

Since Legion and BFA, new raids have been consistent in difficulty, taking about 40 min to an hour on average for each boss. And the bosses don’t drop many loots.
I’ve seen too much that players spend much time and heavy efforts over a week raiding, and receive ZERO pieces of gear-upgrades at the end of the week. Take a moment to grasp how discouraging this is.

Um…yes, yes it was. Unless you mean that trash currency gear from vendors which was still subpar.
I see this argument come up over any change.
“Oh the people who liked it this way are gone now, so don’t even bother fixing it because all that’s left are the people who like the status quo.”
Fact of the matter is that WoW is a revolving door of people coming in and out. When subs drop, it’s because people are leaving at rates higher than they’re coming in/staying. The people coming in will have varying tastes and it’s up to the company to decide what their target market is, such that there are more people coming in that stay rather than leave.
Essentially, the best way to solve a problem is to fix it without fear that some players might not like the fix.

No, no it really wasn’t LOL.
Speaking purely raiding as that’s the only comparable thing really, 10 man dropped 2 pieces (Which you could also use ML and give to anyone within the raid) and 25 man dropped 5.
Guess what happens in Shadowlands? 10 man drops 1, 20+ drops 3. All of which is personal looted and depending what you’re doing highly unlikely you get to trade it currently.

I’m sorry but that is just flat out not true.
I have done both 10 man normal castle and 30 normal/heroic castle on several characters.
The only part of your argument that makes sense is the personal loot to ML thing. Which I agree with ML should still be in game.
Why is it always either/or? Black or white? I don’t get this simplistic thinking.

2nd piece of loot isn’t until you’re at 12. And the 3 pieces for 20 was literally posted by Blizzard because it launched with 5 and they quickly nerfed it before Mythic week.

We killed a heroic boss with 10 people and got two items so don’t know what to tell you champ.

Whatever you want to tell yourself bud. Funnily that’s a very easy thing to disprove (16 is very much not 10) but hey whatever you gotta do to make it look like there’s been no change
