English lesson, everybody!
Apostrophes replace letters to make two words one word. Like the word don’t is taking the O from do not to shorten your sentence. The apostrophe replaces the letter! Ain’t that neat? Aren’t takes out the O from are not. It’s replaces the I in it is. You’re takes out the A from you are.
Apostrophes can also imply possession, like, “That is Mjosura’s character.” To imply possession to a person you are talking to, you can say, “That is your character.” You don’t use you’re because you aren’t combining two words. That would make it “That is you are character.”
Wild!
Bear Tartare before the nerf.
