Yes. If they ban just that one then another just like it will come up, then another and another and another. And not to mention the game is now designed to be played using addons. The game is now built around the addons, addons are no longer built around the game. No addons at all for any reason.

FF bans all addons. It is against the TOS…funny thing is, same guy who announced that who works for FF also stated how addons are technilally not allowed in WoW based on the original TOS which clearly states no third party software to aid with gameplay. But yet addons are allowed when they are technically third party software.

WoW should sell their old style books that had all the raid fights in detail writtin in the pages. No need for addons if you already know the fights before you go into them.

Most MMOs do not allow addons and many will straight up perma IP ban you for using any at all.

If you go play FF right now and come in with the same set of addons you have here in WoW…get ready to say goodbye to your account.

#1 is Details.

Like half the fun of the game after the initial content rush of a new expansion instantly dies if I can’t actually see myself improving and can’t compare against others. I get why devs tend to not include meters as baseline features, but honestly they’re pretty necessary with how PvE MMOs are typically designed. There’s a reason everyone who does content uses them in FFXIV despite it technically being against the rules. At least WoW supports addons I guess.

#2 right now is probably DBM. I can function without it, especially since I do more dungeons than raids (it’s definitely more useful in raids), but it’s just nice in general to be able to make sure I’m not popping stuff when the boss is about to go immune or spawn a bunch of adds or something.

ElvUI and TRP3 would be the next couple.

TRP3 would probably have been #2 at some point in time, but I just struggle to care about RP anymore, and as someone not actually RPing, reading profiles is only really interesting when someone is being completely ridiculous while still clearly wanting to be taken seriously.

ElvUI is just nice in general. The Default UI is ugly and you can switch up basically everything with ElvUI.

I don’t need alt addons, I don’t need bag addons, I think rotation helpers are only a half step above the 1 button castsequence macros of old, so I think this pretty much covers things.

Musician is a nice idea but people don’t use it in a way I’m okay with so I don’t run it. People basically use it to blast crappy pop music in populated areas. 100% misses what could be good about it.

I have to pick two?

Stuf Unit Frames and Dominos.

Helps things look more streamline and I can customize to my liking.

It was Altoholic, but that addon is apparently useless now.

Probably weak auras and handynotes.

Weakauras because it lets you make any other addon. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Well WoW isn’t “most MMOs” and built this game from the ground up with addons in mind so . . . you’re SoL here.

Dev hasn’t been developing it for years. Wowthing.org is nice, but it’s not an ingame addon. Does require running an exe though, but it’s trustworthy, it just writes a text file that is used to update wowthing (you can see the code on github).

Weakauras
Gladius

You’ll still be below average if they were removed.

In what way am I trolling according to you?

This.

My favorite weakaura on my hunter is my barbed shot tracker

You’re below average though so…

But I’m not lol.

I’m actually above average.

TomTom - I am very good at getting lost, and TomTom is very good at helping me find my destination.

Rematch - remembers all my pet battle teams for me and manages my pet levelling queue. I use it in conjunction with Pet Battle Scripts, which is a nifty little addon for the Rematch addon. I could play without Pet Battle Scripts, but Rematch is pretty much an essential for me to manage my levelling queue for the battle pets I haven’t maxed yet.

TellMeWhen and then either Details! or DBM depending on the situation. TellMeWhen is basically an alternative to WeakAuras.

i love weakauras. it lets me track abilities so much easier so i dont forget stuff like poisons tip of the spear charges or that i can dragon rage. i dont like those all in 1 uis wa has so i just make something for the specific stuff i need to track and im good. oh and since the addon stoped working i can also have my diablo health and mana orbs still. the other would probably be bagnon. when that addon isnt working i feel it more than any other addon
