Your top addons which you think should be baseline

What do you think are the top five addons you personally think should be baseline in World of Warcraft either in terms of functionality or QoL?

Here are mine:

  1. Storyline (Drastically changes the way you quest and look at quest text)
  2. Postal (It’s Postal the epic mail addon)
  3. Tom Cat’s Tours or Handynotes
  4. Mount Journal Enhanced
  5. Overachiever

EDIT: Edited the title as this is more fun with people giving more of their addons than just five

1.) Deadly Boss Mods
2.) Details
3.) Weak Auras
4.) Bagnon
5.) Tidy Plates
6.) Auctionator
7.) Tom Tom
8.) Spy
9.) Handy Notes

  • Coords in the default UI.
  • Pretty Reps (for account wide progress and showing paragon progress)
  • Pet battle teams, or at least some way of storing team configurations.

I LOVE Bartender4!

  1. Dominos (or similar addon that lets you customize the action bars however you want.)

  2. AdiButtonAuras (puts all your buff, debuff, & CD timers & auras directly on the related spell button).

  3. Overachiever

  4. Bagnon (One big bag, baby!)

  5. DBM

This.

I saw your list before you added spy. You evil human being. But despite how much i love the advantage i have over those who don’t have it, i cannot come up with any logical argument against it’s inclusion.

One missing one. Bartender.

RaiderIO…

Not trolling, I feel like it should be base, and done better. Then, in a few expansions, we’d celebrate when it gets removed from game.

Yeah Bartender is good too. I just am fickle about it.

This but I would add bartender, the bar controls in the default layout is just horrible.

The FF14 UI with a WoW skin/theme.

I don’t understand why this isn’t a thing yet, to be honest.

Clique and Coordinates (Even FFXI had coordinates built into their maps.)

Bagnon for sure. One bag window, plox.

  1. PLH (Personal Loot Helper). It tells you if someone in the raid or group picked up an item upgrade for you or a Xmog you don’t have.

  2. ElvUI. I’m not a fan of base UI.

  3. RareScanner/NPCscanner. To find rares.

  4. New Openables. Gives you a button to click for any openable/usable items in your inventory so you don’t have to deal with the clutter lol.

  5. GatherMate2. Helps keep track of gathering routes and shows you what you’ve already gathered on the minimap.

I am super disappointed that no one here suggested Peggle.

Bagon is also a good one.
Mogit is a plus.
WeakAuras is super useful in all situations, and should be a baseline part of the game, right next to the Macro menu.

-remove gryphons
-DBM
-Details
-world quest list
-button forge

those should be baseline, and i’d add an optional weak auras when youre not used to your rotation, pretty useful to add infos anywhere on screen.
