Let’s just remove player names and put a score there so people know if they want to play with you on sight.
It just resumes people to numbers more and more. I don’t condemn, just note, to each their own. Some will use it to improve their experience / bricked keys, some predators will just be happy they have their own private yellow star to stick on strangers. All it says is WoW isn’t a game anymore to many people, and it spreads to more people every day, including those who left M+.
I remember when wow wasn’t such super serious business!!
People talk about wow nowadays like it’s a job or a career or some sort of meaningful goal.
I mean, it’s just a game guys…it’s not that serious
Yeah and some of us don’t want to use our gaming time playing with bad players, so we look for ways to avoid that happening.
Please do, I go out of my way to avoid playing with people with bad attitudes!
Explain how this would work when tank deaths are a major part of their score? If the team is bad and wipes so much that they are overtime, then there’s zero shot that the tank will have a good score. Welcome to tanks leaving more keys if the group causes them to die.
I think you are one of the authors.
Sounds stupid… just like raider io.
154mb addon that requires access to your battlenet account. I don’t trust it.
Also in premade groups, we have callouts for our interrupts and its going to be heavily skewed one way or another – especially if someone needs to hold their interrupt for their turn in the chain.
I dunno. Seems like GearScore 5.0 and I’m not sure if its going to be helpful or hurtful.
EDIT: Took a closer look. It takes tank deaths and puts them at an extremely high weight. Thats just flat wrong – A tank can die through outside factors and not their own fault – DPS taking too much avoidable damage for example could cause a healer to lose several GCD’s to healing their mistakes and the tank just falls over because of it. Alternatively, DPS could be too low and the tanks cooldowns are not enough to cover the duration of the pull and any tankbusters that mobs may cast.
Another problem with this is intentional wipes: Your battle rezzer died and nobody has cables, or the healer died, or too many other people died. This affects your score for the dungeon, and drags you down in terms of score. This further incentivizes tanks to stay away from pugs because a bad group could severely harm their score overall. Additionally, it would incentivize tanks to solo bosses at unreasonable percentages (50%) because even if it depletes the key, it doesn’t deplete their score.
Interrupts being weighted heavily is also a bit strange, because again you could overlap interrupts and it would count against you, and it also doesn’t take into consideration the severity of the cast being interrupted: Tormenting Beam, for example, isn’t that important of an interrupt while Ensnaring Shadows definitely is.
It would be an interesting addon and metric, but right now its dog.
One final note: The addon is basically just a snapshot of the current database, hence the large size. You won’t get any updated values unless you grab the current database from their website. Theres no functions in the code to make fetch requests to any server and all the data is local.
Just what we need… more methods to assign numbers to players to justify excluding people. Don’t get me wrong… I’m also equally frustrated when I invite a player who does zero interrupts, stands in bad, and does 10% of their possible output.
But holy cow… how sterile of an experience are we going to make here?
Wowop is a good concept but
means it’s not ready for primetime at all.
I’m crossing my fingers for the day that enough people quit playing to stop people from developing these addons.
Then we can go back to how it used to be.
Must be awesome to have been born with perfect knowledge of all video games.
This system I am extent skeptical of.
I don’t see it really working out.
My little special “score” can take a hit for letting Void Arc go, so that I could save my interrupt for Howling Fear?
Nah, fam, I think not.

Must be awesome to have been born with perfect knowledge of all video games.
Must suck to be incapable of learning anything in a dungeon after going through it multiple times already. Or seeking out external guides if you want to jump straight in the deep end.
Precisely why players want to share time with others at their skill level. They put in the effort that you proudly refuse to.
Needs to be banned. It’s just more problems for people trying to do M+. So many flaws with it. Interrupts - not all healers have those. Damage as a healer? Oh look forcing what healers already are upset about. I wont install it, so you know groups will be like “must have addon or no invite” because if you don’t run it, you wont have score, so you just wont be invited etc
It wont be banned.
It wont even be used to form groups.

Imagine if Blizzard adopts this into the game like they did Raider IO.
Raider IO works though because its scoring primarily just cares about successes and completions, which don’t need to be logged by the individual. That’s honestly fine. This level of granularity is a huge mess waiting to happen.
No one will use this.
People who are pugging want a quick way to determine group member effectiveness and and players who are doing high keys that are leveraging WCL are likely playing with consistent groups.
DOA.
