I know this is a loaded question. But specifically what I’m trying to see, as a newish player coming into WoW SoD/very casual player. What class to you is very very easy to master, while at the same time valuable to the raiding landscape. I’m 95% or more PVE. So PVP isn’t much of a thing to me. Maybe one day. Just curious on what your thoughts are. Thanks!
feral cat druid. simple rotation and you can be an absolute garbage player and youll still be invited for the wildstrike
easiest or most successful?
easiest would be pally for dps / priest for healing/ shaman for tanking.
most successful is a more interesting question as you would have to take into account a bunch of things for p3 but if we dont include those…
priest for healing (druid is a close second). shaman for melee dps . not sure on the ranged maybe mage or lock (depends on the spec, both are a bit more involved) and again shaman for tanking (pally and druid are closer than people think).
Honestly I’m kinda looking for more both tbh. Like which class is the easiest to be the most successful? By that I mean, either easy rotation, not a ton of buttons/macros/keybinds. Maybe even not a ton of movement.
Let’s just say I’m a first time player, that is not great at computer games even. If you had to have a healer class, then a dps class, then a tank class. Which would you choose that would make me most successful in the easiest way possible?
i guess you can be decently successful with either a pally or shaman without knowing much about the game.
warning about shaman , they have alot of totems that you can use or not but a bunch of them are stuff with a little bit of an impact .
either one would be fine , just pick one of them.
Paladin. Can play any role. Has next to no rotational buttons and a bunch of get out of jail free buttons.
lmao
None the SoD classes are exactly hard but Feral definitely is going to be the least easy and most competitive for parsing.
It is definitely not paladin. The people saying that are Horde players that do not remotely play one or know the rotations or PvE or anything.
Do the feral druid on Alliance. That’s where you’ll have the highest demand.
Feral/boomkin
Warrior
Hunters, 2 buttons in raid. But you can solo dungeons when you are skilled
Thats funny coming from a druid.
Druid is my herb alt
Don’t heal. To stressful on a new time player. Your best bet is either an enhance shaman for dps not tanking (wouldn’t recommend tanking or healer to a new player whose bad at games, your words not mine) but yea either enhance shaman, or shadow priest is pretty easy to play like 3 buttons, and everyone wants u.
I suggest watching some YouTube videos on how to use/read warcraftlogs and then look at what the top guys are doing. Also watch some videos on “feral druid parse run gnomeregan” etc. for the classes you’re interested in, and see what they’re doing and if you would want to do that too. Feral druids on alliance side will be desirable which would help you get in. If you’re horde, enhancement shamans are currently top DPS and every raid will need like 4 shamans I think.
Lol.
What are you smoking?
Correct answer: mage.
Feral cat is anything but a simple rotation.
Shadow priest. WCL shows the top and bottom for that spec being the smallest divide, and it’s a large margin. Data shows spriest is best for noobs, a grey parse and pink parse are only 25 points of difference.
Or destro lock, they’re removing lof, so the skill ceiling got dropped to the floor.
Shammy, can play any style (tank, caster, healer, melee), has a lot of save yourself abilities and buffs.
Can literally self res if you make a mistake.
Ez S tier for PvP, PvE, and all aspects of the game. You get a wolf form with +40% movespeed at level 20 lol
Go orc shammy, only thing worth playing in SOD
Feral is not gonna be simple to play next patch. You will be power shifting again with furor and wolfs head on top of using gore which will have a random 5%chance to reset mangle and tigers fury for even more energy rng shenanigans. While managing your bleeds and savage roar uptime. But you are correct on alliance every raid will want at least one maybe two if there are two melee groups in the 20 man just because of wild strikes
Fire mage.
