What is the the class that’s most fun for you in BGs and why ?
For me it’s always been hunter. I’ve always liked ranged damage the most, being able to easily select and follow your targets while at a safe distance. I wish BM had a bit more burst, so I usually PVP as MM. Regardless of the spec, I enjoy and am most comfortable PVP on my hunter.
For me having a pet or not, I still like hunters the most. I PVP as MM mainly and go petless, other times I may run as BM and use pets of course. Blizz has made pets so boring and bland these days they aren’t fun or exciting to use anymore. Still my favorite class regardless
I control my character by a mix of keyboard and mouse, never been able to do movement fully by mouse as it gives me wrist/arm pain. That might be a big reason I never enjoyed melee PVP more, as you really want to control the majority of movement via your mouse to be good. Hunter is a lot more forgiving in those regards.

I’ve never played a hunter. Is going petless a thing in MM? Been thinking of boosting one.
Cool topic.
Even though I’ve shelved this guy for other classes (just because), I’ve always loved druid (boom in particular) in bgs.
Stealth, spread damage, escapability, self healing / off healing, big boom cooldown, cc, etc and etc

I too prefer ranged. I’m best with my mage in pvp… but oddly i suck with him in pve. Annnnnnd I have the opposite problem with my hunter. Fun pve, but I kinda suck with him in pvp. I want to change that as I mostly just like to pvp in bg’s.
MM is a good bit of fun in bg’s but man but i get no where near the amt of kills i secure with a mage. And when I seem other hunters in bg’s like AV and such, i see them grossly out dmg’ing / out kill’ing me.
I use a razor naga mouse with 7 buttons along the side that i have bound to 1-7, Shift + 1-7 and Ctrl + 1-7. WASD movement.

Talent, called Lone Wolf for Marksman. If you go petless, you get 10% more dmg.
Lately I’ve been playing lock and it’s hysterical dropping 100k+ bolts into people.

Balance druid may not be the best caster but its just something i have always been drawn to

Now i’m intrigued. Sorry to continue the derailment of OP’s thread, but do boomys have pretty awesome burst? They’re nuts to try and solo thats for sure.
I haven’t played much the last couple of patches, but I always love Arms Warrior. Charge, Intercept, Leap. Hit and be hit. Even when it’s weaker in the meta or with bad compositions, even when you have to really work hard for it. The struggle is sublime.
I played some Marksman Hunter at a couple points a while back, and I really enjoyed that, too. Sniping, tracking, cool toolkits to manage the situation spatially.
I’d like to play more Shaman and Druid, but my experience with them is limited to low-level BG’s in far-back expansions.

Wasn’t this a topic a few months ago?
I won’t judge fun since that is different for every person, but balance druid is the most effective solo-queue DPS spec for random BGs, IMO.
Topping damage, killing blows, objectives with no or few deaths is fairly common.
Arms warrior is awesome i concur. This toon isn’t geared anymore, but when i was maxed and playing him my gawd did he smash people’s heads in. Going from target to target just wrecking shop.

MM has the lone wolf talent giving the hunter 10% increased damage increase if no pet is out.
Some may also choose to take the hunters mark talent which adds 5% damage to your target. An extra 15% damage on targets is pretty nice if you go lone wolf and use hunters mark. Not to mention Blizz buffed MM damage by 5% recently as well. Lone wolf+hunters mark+5% damage buff, that’s a lot of extra damage.
I dont miss the pet in PVP. For MM they’re a glorified dot and often get stuck or bugged. The pets with a slow ability or purge are handy some situations, but when I PVP I prefer no pet.

Boomies had some amazing burst in Legion with Full moon + Starsurge, but since fullmoon has been nerfed to oblivion and turned into a talent, I’d say it’s pretty average now.
The big burst is tied to incarnation which is a long cooldown.
It’s about pooling astral power and casting instant starsurges into your target.

It’s easier for stealth classes to have fun even when your team is getting blown out and I don’t enjoy the half support role that druids are pigeonholed into so it’s been rogue for me.
I’m leveling a mage at the moment though and I’m relearning my love for ranged DPS. It’s gratifying to be able to perch up on a ledge and rain down on people that can’t touch you. For mages in particular, it’s nice having the tools to peel for yourself rather than relying on usually incompetent friendlies to do it for you.
I gave arms warrior an honest effort but I kind of hated it. Having to be in the thick of it but having zero self-heals to sustain yourself is a masochistic practice. That spec is only fun when you’re within 40 yards of a good healer imo.

For casual pvp bg I enjoy resto shaman. ( Haven’t played it this patch) but it was bananas when stacking pack spirit was a thing
Great aoe healing , ranged interrupt , totem for any situation
Self battle Rez, mobility Tanky and has a hard CC
My fav was LOS ranged classes forcing them to inch to there death by trying to kill me
Ret because I love getting caught in an open field with 7 Fire Mages spamming Gpy on me while I waddle around.

Affy warlock when that used to be a thing. Rotting a team always felt satisfying. Mop was the best when you could soul burn port and couldn’t be slowed. /Giggled at all melee.

Yo mop aff was fun af.
I switched my new lock to aff for fun and was confused on all the changes. Last time I’d played lock was in the beginning of wod.
The pruning sucks for so many thing. Like port and haunt now being talents… or shadowburn for destro.
Oh and drain soul is a talent now?? Tf?

Ret is fun when you connect though. It is a good bg hero to just bomb burst somebody down in wings.
Plus, when you look like this:

It’s just that much better.
