Your Mage can do stuff! So, DO STUFF!

Basically what this comes down to is that skill levels vary, drastically. I’d say half of WoW’s players do not actually know how to play their class to the fullest extent. Everyone has ran into heroics/raids where hunters don’t have misdirect on their bar, or they use arcane shot off cooldown. Mages don’t counterspell/spellsteal. Rogues don’t kick (i’ve even seen rogues that don’t use SnD), warriors for some reason forgot how to sunder since TBC launched. I usually just try and passively coach people or remove them from the group if its really bad.

My favorite is in SL when the mobs turn into demons. Mages can steal this buff which turns them into the fiery demon instead. You can’t cast in this form, but you do get a big boost to attack. So you just start chomping at the enemies instead. You’d think it would be the warlocks to turn into a big demon… but that’ll have to wait for wrath.

The Warlocks in Blood Furnace have the ability to juice the Felguards. If you have a Priest and a Warlock in your group, I believe you have the ability to mind-control the Warlock and tell him to juice up your Warlock’s pets.

Speaking of Mind-control, that is another wonderful ability that sees very little usage.

I started leveling a S-priest alt and I used it when ever my tank over pulls to try and off tank/get a mob killed.

I usually try and have every ability on my action bars outside of my hunter. There are just too many abilities there. Besides I seriously doubt I will ever use Mongoose bite again considering I need to dodge first. If I am targeted in a dungeon/raid it is a wipe by that point (outside of trying to Ice trap something)

Speaking of odd abilities that I never thought of before my kara team just taught me I can use snake trap to try and soak attacks on Shade of Aran. You never know what abilities have niece uses.

Yeah do stuff like bring a damn table to the dungeon, buff me and throw up a port when we done. What you do inbetween that is none of my business as long as we don’t wipe to your stupidity.

I would say that out of every 30-40 mages or so, 1 mage is actually good.

Bad players everywhere.

Some people still haven’t killed Mag yet and have 8 minute Gruul kill times.

:crazy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face:

Also you can Purge off the mind controls in Slabs and other forms of MC if it’s magic. Every group I run with I have to tell the Shaman or Priest that. Priests and Shamans just sit there while their groupmate(s) are MCed in that last room for 12 seconds. I normally would but a lot of groups I run with have me MC a target if we don’t have any other cc.

First time around no one used it? Just like Barren’s chat and Chuck Norris jokes were funny right? New flash. Those chats were never funny. Neither was Leeroy Jenkins.

If our group is blasting through stuff, I have no desire to do extra work. Surely the currently player base can understand the desire to do as little work as possible.

just remember that blizzards idea to solve this problem of people not being educated on how their classes work, was to just dumb them all down and remove most of the interesting spells, or restrict them to each spec.

People are not equal, their skill levels and mental ability to juggle different concerns at the same time will determine how well they can play their class, its important to mark down those who can so you can run with them in the future, and stay well away from the dummys who can’t.

I didn’t even realize that. I usually just Earth Shock the casters to interrupt their channel.

A lot of people don’t know about it which is why I try to tell any shaman or priest that I run with so they know in the future. It’s one of those weird things barely anyone knows about. Try it out your next run in there.

Those guys don’t hold a channel it’s more of an MC that is like a sheep/fear but can only be purged or priest “purged” off. I don’t wanna say dispel because ours operates as both a dispel on friendlys and a purge on enemies.

Translation of this post:

I’m bad at this game and don’t like being called out when I don’t like using abilities I don’t know I have.

Translatioon of your post.

I feel it is my duty to stick my nose in other people’s business and tell them how to play a game they spend their own money to play.

The day you start paying for my subscription is the day you can tell me how to play.

You can play however you want but you $15 dollars is not worth more than the $15 of everyone else in the group. If you’re not willing to do simple stuff to make groups not wipe despite it being necesarry then you can take that garbage excuse and i’ll tell you where to shove it.

The absolute audacity of a karen like you thinking your time and money is worth more than mine.

Again, the day you start paying my $15 subscription is the day you can start telling me how to play,

Are you offering to pay my subscription?

Again, if you’re doing group content you have an obligation to the other players to do the mechanics. Otherwise you’re an AH

“waaah i’m so upset because people don’t like it when I run into 20 groups and wipe dungeons. How dare they kick me when I pay $15”.

Circular argument. This is a recreational activity that I pay $15 a month to participate in. You have no right to tell me what I can and cannot do for the $15 a month I pay.

Again, you do you, but I reserve the right to toss self-entitled AH like you out of my groups. Literally people like you is the reason I refuse to tank pugs. Getting so outraged at the possibility that someone wants you to use your toolkit? Like how do you even sit there and take yourself seriously.
