Similar to your OP, it’s easy to knock down arguments when you reword and misrepresent them!
The point is that the reasons for adding them are identical, and similarly lack many reasons not to add them according to the same camp.
So the idea is to point out the subjectivity of it all. You want dual spec because of a subjective quality of life desire, not because the game actually needs it. I.E. you’re lazy because as you said yourself: respeccing is easy and everybody does it all the time.
We have other arguments if that one is too mind-imploding for you, but usually they’re just dismissed or reduced to #nochanges even when they aren’t *shrug. Don’t complain about lack of diverse argumentation when you ignore all the arguments other than the ones you actually have an (poor) answer for.
Yeah, why can’t everyone play the game the exact same way I play it with no options to play any other way. It’s fun for me so it should be fun for everyone to do it the same way I do it.
Perhaps that’s a fun way for some people to play. I have no problem with people who make that choice. But for some of us it’s not possible to do that and still have fun with all parts of the game. For some the choice is to only play one part of the game and log out the rest of the time. Imo that’s not good for the game as a whole.
This game is dying so hard it took me 5 minutes to find a group after being in a group. Then it died harder and I ran SM on my paladin alt, it continued to die even harder when I got into a Ramparts run on my shaman. Then some guildies logged in for the evening and the server was so dead that we ran heroics. After that we queued up for a battleground on our dead server and got a game in a couple of minutes. This game is so dead we have a full raid signed up with spares for gruuls and mag this weekend. It’s so dead my karazahn group logs on a half hour early for the raid and we are the third kara group in my guild because the game is dead and there are no players because they cant be bothered to play on a dead server in a dead game with dead players in a dead genre that is bleeding subs because the forums think the game is dead because they are mad at the devs.
Game has become very organized and guilds have too… everyone uses discord to assemble teams and runs discussing raids and such… then in game we execute and log.
