Your First Mog/Fun Mog Stories

Do you remember your first mog? Or do you have an entertaining story that has to do with one of your mogs?

My older brother had just told me about the transmog feature, so I set off trying to make a nice look with the limited mogs I had for my male belf paladin. As a new player, I didn’t have much but I did have this skimpy set https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=347/bloodfist-plate

I put it on my paladin and was like “Brother! I think I got something!”
He comes over and I have to say I’ve never seen that much disappointment in his eyes. “But where are his shoulders…” his voice trailed off and he just turned and left :sob:

Still wore that mog for like 2 years though, lmao.

No idea what my first transmog was, but I guarantee it was hot garbage considering I would have had to re-farm any tier sets when it was introduced.

My bank is still full of like 20 sets on an old character.

Yup. It was various Wrath/TBC pieces along with some shoulders from mop that looked like bones, along with a Wolf head hat from i think TBC. Along with Katanas.

I don’t remember last week

Based on screenshot dates, it may have been this Stormwind-themed one using the imperial plate.

Idk if id call it my first mog. But what i am wearing now is my signature for felsavior.

Ive been wearing this since cringidin came back in legion and i wanted to be as no associated to him as possible.

Ditched the edgy demon look and left behind glaives in favor of a horde pride look. (I had other pieces before BFA released this set, it was more tribal than horde but worked)

Ive gotten so many compliments on it, and it is low key my favorite look. I ended up making a version of it for every class.

Black velvet robes with the staff from deadmines. I wore that and some boots and nothing else to 60 back in vanilla because fashion is better than speed of leveling.

Oddly it appears my fashion sense hasn’t changed much since than.

I didn’t get into mog sets until TBC, then I got the black and red gladiators refuge set. Still my favorite mog when I’m feeling like being a broody edgelord. I can’t remember what weapon I had equipped with it. :woman_shrugging:

My first mog was when my Paladin was human, and I made it to the mog blizzard page.

Ole purple ICC 10 man tier set. I always liked both blue and purple, but blue is still missing pieces. I liked the set so much I had all the pieces (except the boots) before transmog was ever a thing.

And I would think, “It would be cool if I could use any armor appearance instead of whatever I have on”. Fortunately, someone else thought the same thing and put in in a game, and before long, Blizzard copied the concept.

Like all good paladins it was judgment set, my hunter was my main in cata and i mostly just remember run old schoolmance for some really cute black pants. I was also very fond of the mail that drops in naxx.
