Your First Memorable Weapon

For me, It was back when I played a Warrior in BC and even though it’s not a weapon, I worked so hard to get the Merciless Glad shoulders and was awesome to get them - they’re the ones that have steel wing-type looking graphic to them

A little purple dagger that I’ve forgotten the name of. Level req of about 48 or something? Shadow blade maybe?

Best in game friend at the time that I met in Warcraft 3 bought it for me as a birthday present for over 100g. This was when people would struggle to pay for 100% speed mounts.

It’s still sitting in my rogues bank.

First memorable weapon I can remember is that Berserker Axe or other, from the Warrior questline. I remember what a b- it was to get that axe, haha.

My first memorable weapon would have to be the Barman’s Shanker, given that it’s speed was tantamount to combat dagger DPS. When I finally got into raids, the Perdition’s Blade comes to mind. Back when you had to 40-man MC and BWL.

Hand of Edward the Odd in Vanilla. Back then, it had a proc that made any spell cast instant. It made me invincible in PVP. Insta full heal. Also, it worked on hearthing too, so when about to lose a fight - insta hearth! Lol I seriously dont think I lost a 1v1 battle in vanilla, as long as you don’t count hearthing to live another day as a loss :stuck_out_tongue:

Azuresong Mageblade from Molten Core.

Got it back in Vanilla when Molten Core was the current top-end endgame content. It felt awesome getting my first epic raid weapon.

I think I had that dagger, but got it after my level was already too high for it. Nevertheless, that time period was definitely unique. I had to sell an epic ring just to afford my epic mount back then!!

first blue to drop “The Black Knight”, first epic to drop “Destiny”… both on a rogue.

Barman’s Shanker took 2 weeks to finally drop.

I can’t remember the name of the most memorable one,but I remember getting buzz saw, thrash blade and buzzer blade.

Benediction, on my priest in Vanilla.

On my hunter, the eypheonix/whatever crossbow.

Then I read about it, which was kind of sad.

Broken Promise.

Don Santo’s famous hunting rifle

Did somebody say [ Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker ]?

No? Just me? I’ll leave now.

RISE, THUNDERFURY!

Staff of Jordan. Dropped back in early BC from the raptors in STV while levelling. It felt like a godsent.

My first weapon that I got from a raid was Light’s Justice from Kara. I loved the way it looked and the fact that it was my first epic weapon in the game. I got it back in 2007 on my Draenei Holy Priest at my first raid on the final boss of Kara. It was a great night because they also let me have the helm token because the people I raided with already had theirs.

I dont really remember most of my weps. On my hunter in vanilla a world drop epic axe dropped for me (the black with red on it?). Other than that the arcanite ripper which i still have… on my hunter /sigh lol

There are two that really stand out to me.
The first was Verigan’s Fist, the lvl 20 paladin weapon that involved quite an epic quest @lvl.

The second one was The Dwarven Hand Cannon, it was my first epic. It dropped off of the Winterfell runners, while questing with one of my friends. He rolled a 2, I rolled a 4. I was playing my hunter at the time. This one happened in 2005 and it still gets mentioned every once in a while, seriously who wins with a 4.

Actually, I liked the Windwalker Artifact: Fists of the Heavens. I wish that was a general fist-wep transmog.* It’s cooler than the smaller, plainer fist weapons, and it’s also smaller than the shield-size fist weps.

*Blizz, make it so.

I still remember getting my first blue from when I first started.
So that.
