Started playing in wotlk, but the first time I ever got a weapon that I remembered fondly was the troll archeology weapon. Zin’rokh, the destroyer of worlds was so good at the start of cata and I got it super early. Gave me a huge head start when gearing up and it looked super cool.

Thermaplugg’s Left Arm axe for me was my first dungeon run ever i think i was in there for like 4 hours fun times

You know the heirloom spellcaster staff? With the horned skull at the top? The original epic version of that dropped in Scholomance.

It was probably my first piece of purple gear so that blew me away as a newbie.

The Turning Tide off of Kel Thesud 25man Naxx. I had the full Valorous Plagueheart set, The Dying Curse trinket and I don’t remember my offhand or other weapon. But I was one well geared warlock back in Wrath. That was my first real raiding. I still have TTT and Dying Curse in void storage.

The Arcanite Reaper. I’d run LBRS for weeks trying to get the plans from the rare spawn, when I finally got them and spent every last copper I had for the mats to make it. That weapon carried me well into MC and BWL. My second would have to be the Betrayer of Humanity from Nax in wrath.

I can still remember today getting “Strike of the Hydra” from the old BFD. Will always be remember as my first memorable weapon.

Can’t remember my very first but the more memorable weapon for me was on my rogue when I got Talon of Azshara was super stoked :smiley:

Mug o Hurt and Hanzo Sword, both from AH while leveling were significant to my leveling experience. I’ll likely pick one of them up again if they’re adorable in classic. That weapon speed with paladin seals was nifty.

Op isn’t asking for most memorable, just your first.

Mine is the Greatsword of the Sin’dorei. Loved the look and it was my first purple in wolk. Transmogged it until this badboy replaced it.

I think the one that stuck with me the most, the one that I remember first when I think of ‘memorable’ was one of the Wotlk ones. That was when I first got to max level - even if I never got very far into dungeons. It was Lucky Old Sun, I think, that one-handed Globe mace. I used it for a good while on my Death Knight tank, at least up until I replaced it with those chainsaw looking things from the trials dungeon.

Edit --> The first one, though, was on my first character! I got this cool looking wooden sword thing that looked like a training weapon and I adored it. I remember someone asking me where I got it - I don’t even remember if I knew how to respond to someone back then, lol.

My first character in this game was a warrior and the class quest that rewarded the Whirlwind Axe was awesome. It is my sentimental favorite weapon all these years later.

My first toon was a hunter, I farmed for Bow of Searing Arrows for hours, never saw it. In my mind .01 percent still meant I had a chance, I miss being a noob :smile:

Quel’Serrar. There was a whole Americans vs Aussies thing going on in my guild at the time and we were grinding Dire Maul for days. When I finally got that sword I really felt like I’d earned it.
