Your favorite story in the WoW universe?

Books and comics can count too!

Lordaeron and the Undercity has some of the best story and history in the WoW universe in my opinion but sadly its just ended up being destroyed and forgotten. This leaves a power vacuum for Gilneas though.

I liked the initial Dark Portal story from Orcs Vs Humans and the Arthas fall story the best.

I love Sylvanas Windrunner’s story, it’s utterly tragic.

I also enjoy the story of how Rhonin and Vereesa saved Alexstrasza, not because I particularly like Rhonin or Vereesa, but because I really love Alextrasza.

I also like Lor’themar Theron’s story.

Thrall storyline from beginning baby abandonment, to slavery, to freedom from slavery to leader of the Horde. Great story. Loved it!

You can guess mine.

The story of Agamand mills.

Might have been overlooked by some, but the recent short story that Blizzard put out about Lor’themar + Thalyssra was good.

The Classic WoW Human story / Varians story.

I love how it’s all so connected and based around Onxyias manipulation to bring the kingdom to ruin, and it plays into the Varian comics. Which if you have never read the Varian comics, you must! It’s one of WoWs better stories.

The whole fall of lordaeron and arthas. I just know they will ruin that character somehow buy bringing him back in shadowlands but as of now easily my favorite and they should have made a movie trilogy about it starting with him as a paladin and ending on the frozen throne.

I liked “Rise of the Horde”. I was pretty much trying to find anything with the Draenei as I really liked them around the time of BC.

World of Warcraft: Rise of the Horde is a novel by Christie Golden set in the Warcraft Universe. It was published in December 2006. Golden also has a commitment with Blizzard Entertainment and Simon & Schuster to write a StarCraft trilogy. Originally presumed to be the sequel to her previous 2001 book, Warcraft: Lord of the Clans, it depicts the draenei’s escape from Argus and the rise of the Horde, following their shift from a shamanic race to a warmongering one. The book features major Warcraft characters, such as Durotan, Ner’zhul, Gul’dan, Orgrim Doomhammer, Kil’jaeden, and Velen. The story tells of how the orc clans and the noble draenei slowly become enemies due to deception and arrogance, and shows the downward spiral into which the orcs are thrown, and explores the role that demonic forces play in the Horde. It also expands on the origin of the Burning Legion, and the events preceding the first game of the Warcraft series.

Ah, a man, eh, cow of culture. Excellent choice.

Pride of Kul Tiras

Princess Theradras and Zaetar. I don’t know why I love it and hate it, but always makes me laugh a little

I guess that is not really a story like a quest, but I enjoy doing Dire Maul because of it.

My favorite story line is the quests in Uldaman too. Love getting that dungeon

This, I love the war of the ancients trilogy. Seeing the rise/(sort of)fall of Illidan and the parallels between him and Arthas, Rhonin and Korialstrasz trying to figure out where and eventually when they are. I was so sad when they killed Rhonin in WoW without letting him actually do anything; now he just gets revenge by repeating his speech in Northrend Dalaran endlessly. Also a shame that Illidan got “redeemed” in Legion, though my personal headcanon is that it’s not actually Illidan in that body.
