Flying: x53 Extreme rocket (reward for Recruit a Friend years and years ago). Because it’s a two player flying mount. I hate that dragon because it’s so big, the x53 is small and very useful if you duo quest (or multi-box).

Ground: Ratstallion mainly because of the (?) prestige. It took frigging forever because I got the majority of the 20,000 sightless eyes from that itty bitty gobbo girl quest which rewards 150se. And I think it looks hilarious to see a 7’3" troll girl galoomphing around on a giant rat.

Honorable Mention (utility department):

  • I always put the Grand Expedition Yak on my character’s button bar so they have a repair vendor and a transmog in outdoor zones, I tend to not like how most head armor looks, so I can 'Mog my helms to invisible.

  • Two player chopper - same as the x53, being able to chunk a friend (or multi box character) in the sidecar is very handy for ground only zones.

  • I used to have the Water Strider on all my character’s button bars, but that looks like it will soon be a thing of the past. I’ll probably make the chopper into a water walking mount after 8.2.

Really depends on my character and their mog.

Black War Kodo sees serious love on both my Tauren characters.

And I hold a special place in my heart for my Charger as I had to do that pain of a quest to unlock him…that Arcanite crystal farm was unpleasant.

my recently looted Shackeled Ur’zul is hands down my favorite. Nostalgia feels and loot reaction went to Ashes of A’lar, but after all of these years, this gorgeously ugly thing is the fav in my collection of 408 usable.

Total usable v.s. Total owned.

If I go buy all the Tauren mounts, and all the Gnome mounts. Only the faction I am on will count for the achieve. I will still own all of them and they still count towards total. The “only” reason for counting them differently is because that is how the collection achievement works (usable). You going out of your way to say “Hey man, your gnome mounts don’t exist.” Seems kind of weird to me, trust me no one truly cares how many mounts I own. (except maybe you ? Well, and me of course.)

I love my Raven Lord. I look at it as one of the best mounts in game.

Well, I support all mount collectors and you have a nice collection. That came out wrong. I just meant nobody cares about duplicates… like mount-tracking websites, etc. Still sounds rude :woman_facepalming:

Nice collection. The number of Trading card mounts you own is impressive; I only have the one (X-51 Nether Rocket Extreme).

Has to be the Brutosaur. Ever since I was a child I loved Dinosaurs with Brontosaurs being my absolute favorite.

Sold nearly my entire pet collection and liquidated everything of worth combined with all the gold I made over WoD and Legion mission tables across several accounts just to come up with the 5 million gold.

My favorite mount is the Onyxian Drake. I think it’s got the one of a kind drake model, updated and highly detailed. It took me a while to achieve it as well so it means a lot. It reminds me of the golden days of raiding and hits me right in the nostalgia.

How many total mounts are in the game? I never realized there were so many.

There are 579 mounts but unfortunately that includes retired mounts. So maybe 530? Ish?

I’m hoping to get that Heavenly Azure Cloud Serpent from the 300 mounts achievement :slight_smile: Maybe one day!

I’d say any of the mounts with a low percentage drop rate from bosses. It’s been over a decade, and I’m still farming the Stratholme mount :slight_smile:

3.) MoP world bosses

Not to mention the Headless Horsemen mount. At least now.

My hardest is still the horse from Kara one. Followed closely by the flightless bird from Sethek halls.
