Hey all! I hope your all having a great night.
It’s been a long time since I played a hunter so I was wondering what is others favorite hunter spec to play!
I really don’t care about the best performing spec because I am not that good anyways lol so I’m aiming to just have a good time.
I never played the new melee spec, I was thinking it could be worth a try.
Lemme know what you think!

I was playing BM quite a bit recently and the mobility was pretty addicting. Every single ability can be cast while moving and you get to have two dinoboiis <3

Two pets does sound pretty cool… I want a crane pet the most, they are my favorite.

So go get 2 crane pets! Survival is fun, I played it in BFA but you have to worry more about melee-range damage in dungeons. I played Marksman briefly in BFA and it was fun but I think I’ve been enjoying BM the most.

Thank you for your input! I’m feeling rather excited to level up
There’s also the whole “survivability” issue of SV. It is a melee class that has few damage migration abilities. We have Turtle and Exhilaration, both with long CD. The pet leeching needs to be higher, and Turtle should not stop us from dishing out damage.

I was Beastmaster for years and just went Marksmanship in SL. I like being the primary damage source with the pet mostly there to intercept and distract the mob. Since pet talent trees aren’t a thing now, I feel less in control of how Beastmaster is played these days.

I won’t be a lot of help because I have multiple hunters and they are all BM. I like the two pet selection since a huge part of being a hunter for me is taming themed pets.
All of my hunters have a theme to their taming except for one. My undead tames dead or diseased, my DiD tames flame/fire/lava, my mechagnome tames mechs, my nelf tames cats, my MH orc tames wolves/dogs, my z troll tames dinos, my human tames “RL” animals based on pets I’ve had, my belf tames creepy/weird pets and my KT only tames farm type animals as he’s Farmer MacDonald, hehe.
My draenei tames any and all pets I like or think are cool and he’s also my oldest character from back in TBC.
Hunters overall are easy to play and level, so when I just want to chill I hop on one of them and go nuts. Have to spam heal pet a lot of the time, but overall I like playing them when I need a break from the other classes I like to play.

My favorite was Ranged Survival. After that, I generally prefer the playstyle of BM. Being 100% mobile is great, and the rotation is pretty forgiving of mistakes. It has been a little simple from time to time, but that can also be refreshing. BM is looking pretty fun in Dragonflight as well.
MM is a slower spec. It can do some pretty fantastic things, and has ok mobility, but it just doesnt resonate with me as much.

That sounds cool. For me, I just like bright colors! So I think that will be my theme. Super colorful.

Hello. I suggest checking out Petopia if you haven’t yet. It has a database of every tameable animal in game.

I only play mm or survival. BM is for adult coloring books.

I used to play Marksman because I couldn’t stand pets. One day, I saw a hunter running out of Venari’s Refuge with a fat farm pig. It was cute and hilarious. I decided to try Beast Mastery and got two pink farm pigs from Stormsong Valley. I got the Farmer title from Valley of the Four Winds, made a transmog to look like a farmer, and bought a flying pig mount. The relaxed play style, the mobility, and being able to “shoot” pigs at targets like homing missiles is absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Call of the Wild in the upcoming expansion, I will be able to summon several squealing pigs at the same time to maul my target. However, maybe I could change it up and add some other farm animals into the mix.

It nice to have a spec that doesn’t need to be constantly watching for what your next move is. It good for new players who just want a easy spec to start with.

Awwwww! I think there is a glyph named Glyph of Lesser Proportions that will make your pets slightly smaller.
