Your Favorite Crafting Profession

Hey fellow Azerothians!

I’m a profession junkie and have been curious which crafting professions are the favorites of others.

My favorite is Blacksmithing (plenty of weapon transmogs to go around!), and my least favorite is a toss-up between Alchemy and Inscription. This isn’t necessarily a ranking of the best gold makers (or else Jewelcrafting would win by miles!). Here’s how I rank them:

  2. Tailoring
  3. Leatherworking
  4. Jewelcrafting
  5. Enchanting
  6. Engineering
  7. Cooking
  8. Alchemy & Inscription

Mining is also my favorite, but it’s a gathering profession not a crafting. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like Engineering but sometimes it’s a little convoluted.

I like Jewelcrafting. Fairly simple, some fun items.

oops, i misread and thought ‘best overall profession’ :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

i overall like enchanting, particularly for making soulbound things into reagents. didn’t liker much the disenchant loot window era, or how enchants are futzed on low level characters due to squishes

My favourite one is probably enchanting, because kinda contains a gathering aspect in it, which adds a twist to getting greens/blues, making them into a source of passive income. It also allows enchanting your own gear which is nice.

I also always fancied blacksmithing. It was my first ever profession and the prospect of making gear for yourself seems very fun, but I was never able to commit to it.

Alchemy, I love potion procs.

Rather than singling out one, I prefer the “Draconic Master of All” view : professions are all one big mass and variety is the spice of life.

Not gonna lie I have checked out of professions entirely in DF. I have no idea what’s going on and at this point I’m afraid to ask :dracthyr_cry_animated:

i’ve been enjoying tailoring this expansion!

Engineering for me, i can’t imagine playing without all of the extra toys, portals and looterangs to make my life easier!

I love my Alchemy, but it’s a gold sink with nothing substantial to sell. Raw mats sells for more on my server than phials or potions. And, there are never any crafting orders. At this point, all of my alchemy crafting goes to our raiding team.

By far, my favorite this expansion, and the one I’ve leveled easily and made the most gold with is Jewelcrafting. Gems don’t sell for a whole lot, but they sell consistently.

I really miss old alchemy, in the past i could have 10+ little alts that weren’t even leveled up, but they were transmute spec and able to pump out daily epic gems/truesteel/gold bars or whatever the high end bar was at the time, that’s actually how i got my seed money to start playing the AH, an army of Xmute alts :joy:
