Eh just bored and felt like making a thread. If you had to pick a fav dungeon per expansion, what would it be?

And just to add a little wiggle room to the topic. Technically you’re picking 2 dungeons. One based off just the general vibe / aesthetic, and one based on the actual fights / gameplay / mythic whatever part of it.

I’m not a fan of dungeons, I’m a world content sort of guy.

But I liked the Vault of the Wardens in Legion because thinking of all Demon Hunters in jail makes me happy :smiley:

Legion - The one in Suramar where you have to find the demon. I love things that require thinking and not just brute force.

Mine are based on vibes, because most of the time I can love a dungeon despite hating the mechanics if the vibe is right (as is the case with my WotLK favorite):

  • Vanilla: Old scholo seems amazing, wish we had a way to queue to run it for leveling purposes + Stratholme
  • BC: Old Hillsbrad Foothills
  • WotLK: Culling of Stratholme, which is also my all-time favorite dungeon despite hating ‘waves’ styled dungeons in general
  • Cata: The Stonecore + The Vortex Pinnacle
  • MoP: Stormstout Brewery
  • WoD: Shadowmoon Burial Grounds
  • Legion: Return to Karazhan (my second favorite dungeon out of all expansions)
  • BfA: Waycrest Manor
  • SL: Plaguefall + The Necrotic Wake
  • DF: Dawn of the Infinite (the only dungeon I like out of DF’s dungeons, and would count it in my top 5 favorite dungeons)

For WoD and BfA I actually disliked all of the dungeons, but still selected the one I disliked least out of the bunch. I do not go out of my way to run any of these dungeons. I also don’t like any of DF’s dungeons outside of the infinites, to such a degree that I will wait for TW to level an alt to 70.

TWW: whatever dungeon involves escorting a candle. I’m sure my friends will hate that, so it’s automatically my favorite.
