Your Drac’thyr Name and Color

I plan on making mine look like the black dragonflight with the name Deafwing saved.

Black dragons were always my favorite.

I need to know the naming conventions before I commit. And the colour and name I choose might be very integral to each other, informing one based on my preference for the other. I’ll need to find a good concept that balances both.

That being said, I’ve always liked the story behind the red, and the visuals of the green.

Took me a while, but I’m finally satisfied with the name Nozdormi, who will be a female bronze dragon (obviously).

I also grabbed the name Emeralddream, which I thought might be a cool green dragon name. Sitting on it at the moment until I decide what I want to do with it.

I’d love a White dragon … but as for names I’m at a los so far.
Might take some inspirations from movies or other things.

Jokingly I put out Flappywings

Of the examples shown, I like the visages for the green and red flights. I don’t have any names saved. I will just use the random name generator if I make one of the new dragons.

Color, probably black.
Name? Whatever the random name generator gives me that isn’t incomprehensible

name ending based on color

red - strasz(a)
blue - gos(a)
green - N/A
bronze - dormu
black - ion but also ffa

So you could be…

Keldastrasz
Keldagos(a)
Keldarwhatever
Keldadormu
Keldarthion

Keep the r if you want or not depending on cool factor

I hadn’t thought of the random name generator. I wonder if they’ll set up the drak’thyr random name generator to use the traditional dragon naming nomenclature.

Not sure about names yet, I have a couple saved, but I’ll likely come up with something based on their appearance etc, I need to see all of the customizations first.

Alliance will likely be red or green, horde will likely be black or red, too early to say though.

We don’t know if Drac’thyr names follow the same patterns as “natural” dragons, though. Drakonids and Dragonspawn and Dragonmen all have different flows to their names.

Somewhere, Hazzbear just smiled at the mention of his name

Dracthyr are isolated so they could have started they own naming thing with a mix out of all of the flight names.

Black dragonflight: “-ion” (male), “-ia” (female)
Red dragonflight: “-strasz” (male), “-strasza” (female)
Bronze dragonflight: “-dormu” (male), “-dormi” (female)
Green dragonflight: “-us” (male), “-ra” (female)
Blue dragonflight: “-gos” (male), “-gosa” (female)

Some dragons don’t follow the correct naming convention. For example, Sinestra is a black dragon with a green dragon’s name.

my first thought is already taken on my servers. I was going to use Dolarhyde.

Precisely my concern. I’m not going to commit to a typical dragon name if the Drac’thyr as a group don’t use those conventions.

If the name “deeznutz” and variants of same aren’t already saved on all the servers are we even trying?

rather “Dragondeez”

In the end conventional Dragon names are just something for RP-servers anyway.
No one stops you to call your dragon Bob or Jerry on PvE/PvE servers.

I’ve never played on an RP server, but all of my characters have names that would make complete sense if my character was an NPC.
