Your covenant choice, and why

I’m still trying to decide if I want to go Kyrian or Venthyr.
Either works for RP reasons.
To keep you blind: Ability-wise the venthyr abilities both tickle my funny bones, while only the class ability makes me happy on Kyrian, but I will not deny the usefulness of the Covenant ability
Appearance-wise though, I prefer the Kyrian aesthetics. It’s another one of those “You got your sci-fi in my fantasy” looks that I live for.

Kyrian, because of the appearances matches a paladin theme.

Necrolords because the other ones are for beta males.

Necrolords. I’m going for the one that fits this character.

I have no idea. i don’t even know what covenants are. only thing i’ve heard is that you can’t switch them later on because people pointed that out when i said i was going in blind. i’ll pick them when it comes up and i want to see how badly this new blizzard idea can affect players that don’t look it up first, i’m hoping it won’t matter much overall.

Wait, which one is lust? This might change things…

Well, I have decided I am not going to play Shadowlands anytime in the immediate future. It will still be there if I decide to do it.

My understanding is that you will get a taste of each Covenant as you level. You choose your Covenant at level 60. I also understand that everything you do after that is based on the Covenant you choose.

Now this presents a potential interesting problem.

Suppose you discover you chose the wrong Covenant. Well you can change it on a 1 week rotation. I am also thinking that you have to start over from scratch once you do that.

It’s going to be grind after miserable grind.

I have a strong dis-taste for grinds.

Have fun.

I was gonna go Venthyr but now I’m kind of torn between Venthyr and Kyrian. I like Venthyr aesthetics more but Kyrian ideology seems more appropriate for my character.

Night Fae, I really don’t care about the abilities and min maxing, I just love being able to shapeshift. Also my favorite characters are a druid and a hunter, they both fit in with the theme.

Kyrian, wings, aesthetically my kinda jam…
Covenant abilities are all wonky and will bounce from patch to patch balance wise so I’m ignoring that. They are tolerable for my mage so /shrug

I dunno. Game hasn’t released yet and I know nothing about them outside of visuals. Just based on that, I lean towards Kyrian, but it will ultimately end up which one fits with my character’s RP.

Still don’t know and cuz blizz is still making changes to covenant abilities and still reworking them all together as of yesterday.

Agree, Warrior is my main, Warriors abilities are kinda dull and lackluster

Night fae for this character, kyrian for my hunter, necrolords for my warlock and venthyr for my rogue. Because they give the prettiest transmogs and i want to see all the stories

I will be going Night Fae on my DK, and the reasons really are a long list.
I love the zone.
I love the music in the zone.
I love the playful nature of the characters in the zone.
I love dragons, and Ysera appears to be heavily featured.
I love night elf storylines too, even as Horde, and again seems to be heavily featured.
I love the color Blue.
I love massive trees.
I love the nature-themed content in the game typically.
I love all the transmog from the zone.

But perhaps most importantly?
Soulshape.

I can not wait to have a blink as a Blood DK.
That and a Blue Death and Decay.

I have to say, I really love the covenant and find it kind of wild how much I find myself identifying with it.

I know its been a hot topic these last few months, but if you approach it with an open mind I think you can really start to feel the heft of the decision when weighing all the things involved, instead of just the player power.

Going with night fae on my druid because… it’s pretty

Kyrian, mostly because of the aesthetics for this character.

Night Fae cause everything is so pretty.

Necrolord. Love the Scourge theme and it sounds like the perfect covenant for warlocks flavor wise. Going on it for my DK for the same reasons.

Venthyr. I prot/ret mythics and heal heroic raids…and I know Kyrian is currently the best, but if I’m gonna be hanging out in a zone/covenant hall on my main all the time, I need the venthyr aesthetic in my day to day game life. I’ll just hope the venthyr pally ability gets buffed later.
