Recently built a new computer, moved Warcraft over with the harddrive it was already installed on. Fresh install of windows and drivers, attempting to launch Warcraft gives the above error message. Drivers are up to date, have uninstalled the Blizzard launcher and reinstalled it as well as uninstalled WoW completely and reinstalled it. The error message still presents.
You downloaded current drivers directly from nvidia, right?
I did, yes.
Have you also restarted your computer? Sometimes that helps.
You might also try downloading the new driver, uninstalling your current one entirely, then installing the new one “fresh”.
Also sometimes the old driver being present can screw up the new one being installed.
Restarted the computer, no luck. I’ve just installed the gfx driver so no old driver to speak of.
Also tried disabling the integrated graphics card on my new motherboard but didn’t seem to help.
Some more modern CPU’s have Integrated Graphics (iGPU). Might need to make sure you aren’t using that over your RTX 3070
Let’s ask the other question that has solved problems before - your monitor is plugged in to the video card and not the motherboard, right?
It is plugged into the gfx card, yes.
No video cables plugged into the integrated graphics, no iGPU settings in the bios but I did find Integrated Graphics Peripherals which I disabled.

Relevant Dxdiag info above
just making sure, when you reinstalled it, did it wipe all the folders? you might rename or delete your cache, wtf, interface folders, as that has some computer specific information in it, in case they survived an uninstall.
Rebuilding Cache, Interface and WTF did not seem to make a difference
Updated the bios on my mobo, checked for igpu (which makes sense seeing that my gfx card hasn’t changed) but no igpu, processor doesn’t support integrated graphics. Completely nuked my battle.net install, WoW folders and Hearthstone folders, doing a reinstall now. Will report back if it has made any difference.
You might need to do a DDU reinstall of the drivers. Sometimes, Windows is dumb and installs other drivers over top of the new ones. That or it can break registry stuff and other pieces to the whole puzzle. You also have to have the Windows store functional so that it can install the frontend for it all (might be required for the rest of the DCH stuff and for the drivers to function correctly).
Here’s a pinned link from the Nvidia forums:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/1001/wagnard-tools-ddugmptdr-manipulator-new-cpu-core-a/
Done this a couple of times now, doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Can you confirm that the Microsoft store has installed the required Nvidia app? I don’t think it’s optional anymore and Nvidia only releases DCH drivers now.
Microsoft store=>Library=>Look for Nvidia
Yup “Nvidia Control Panel” shows installed in the Microsoft store.
Completely nuking the installs and reinstalling seems to have fixed the issue.
I am currently having the same issue actually, except it is with a new Arc A750 gpu I just got. Whenever I restart the computer or wake from sleep, I will get this error message trying to launch the game. After a while it will finally work and launch the game. So maybe not an issue with the gpu itself but rather its the changing of the gpu.
And before anyone asks, I did uninstall the previous Nvidia drivers before installing the Intel ones.
