Younger Jaina looked like this?!

What might have helped is I’ve played MMOs since I was a kid and basically was into Grand Fantasia for about 12 years. Then FFXIV

What I found in WoW in October 2021 compared to GFO:

  • updates more than once a year :pensive:
  • Largest Australian server
  • Actual cutscenes sometimes compared to none
  • Really really addicting gameplay. I think they really knew what they were doing Dragonriding (in DF). It adds so much to the experience of this game.
  • the complexity compared to some Asian MMOs is less in WoW which is perfect for kinda turning my brain off as I navigate my early 30s.

Sadly she wasn’t in Teldrassil when we set fire on it.

Yep. That’s how she used to look. If you haven’t watched it, you should go watch the ending of Siege of Orgrimmar cinematic. She gives the most evil look and smirk with that model.

Excited for it though I’m 7/10 of the campaign now so I imagine I’ll probably see it ingame at the end.

checks notes
Is she not friends with the Horde this time around? Oh, well give it another expansion or two I’m sure she’ll be all buddy buddy with them again…again…again.

You loved her MoP model because the torn and worn-out clothes made you act up.

I loved the MoP model because the torn and worn-out clothes reflected her mental instability and trauma.

We are not the same.

its sad she says this and then her life gets
completely turned around lol. i like this
quote since it shows its not like she wanted to be a hero…hell me too, i like being an adventurer not insert 800 dif titles here

Technically no. This was post mana bomb jaina, she was full blonde before then.

Ahh I’ll jump in for classic remix if they ever do it (gl bliz, 30 maps or something) The sheer amount of players I’m seeing means this is definitely content people are thirsty for.

Hogger, a threat at max level??? :weary:

If all she wanted was to study and peace, she should not left her city to be used as alliance base to invade and attack horde settlements across the barrens and Durotan and supply their actions.

She is a great example of you reap what you sow.

In cataclysm it was the alliance who start with the aggression by attacking the horde from theramore and taking Honor’s stand and besieging the city of crossroads, one day before the cataclysm actually hit the world, MOP was the escalation of a blood war, that while Anduin was able to break Varian down, no one could stop Garrosh warmongering.

Same way theramore was justified, as she left her city to be used as Alliance base to invade horde lands and slaughter their people; They also gave plenty of warnings to surrender which they didn’t.

It would not, thunderbluff is far way from theramore

But I’ve been doing the Horde side and it’s literally just Horde expansion into Night Elf territory.

We’re literally weeding out Night Elves from Ashara and then digging deep into Ashenvale. I won’t lie though it hits different killing Night Elves as a Blood Elf marksman, the sound they make when they die are funny.

The landfall of Alliance in Kalimdor goes as far back for Humans as it does Orcs, their choice of allies is just different.

One of the many mop victims to make Varian seem sensible.

Varian seemed very badass. He definitely softens up as the patch goes on, able to see the collective enemy rather than the entire horde.

Had they only stuck to writing Varian better. But no, they insisted on throwing most of the other cast under the bus to make that “work”.

The problem is Blizzard is incapable of writing anything with any degree of nuance. People liked peaceful Jaina and they didn’t like warmonger Varian, so Blizzard switched their characterizations to make Varian more popular.

The sad thing is I don’t even think angry WotLK Varian was even a failure of concept, just execution. He had plenty of valid reason to hate the Horde, even Thrall’s Horde -which was actively attacking the Alliance during ‘peacetime’ because “we need lumber lol” and because Sylvanas was a psycho who loved melting innocent people to make chemical weapons. Had he focused on that instead of going on an insane rant about Orcs that made him sound like a racist, I imagine he’d have been much more popular.

People like to praise MoP’s story (and Pandaria itself is a genuine high point) but honestly the entire faction war was so stupid and contrived, and really only remembered at all fondly due to BFA somehow doing the exact same thing except worse. Devolving Jaina into an edgy hysterical woman who wants to murder everyone and always screws up every time she tries was one of WoW’s biggest fumbles and if I have any praise for BFA at all it’s that they moved her back to her original character.

You obviously not doing it all of horde, one of the first questlines from both orcs and trolls starting zone is how alliance are attacking dutorar and they plan to destroy sen’jin village.

Garrosh invaded Ashenvale, after, the alliance start their own invasion, and after the night elves refused the negotiations of trade.

That is true I haven’t done Orc and Troll starting zone yet. I’ve mostly just done a couple of the North Kalimdor ones after brining my Belf over from Silvermoon. I was aware of some sneaky humans in the south the orcies were going to dispatch.

To be honest, I totally forget that Jaina USED to look like that because I was so used to her new model from BFA. I didn’t even remember she had a white hair.

It was a big throwback because it looks kinda how I remember her looking at the Arthas/Jaina stuff in WC3.
