Younger Jaina looked like this?!

Gotta say not bad! I’m glad this remix this has the endgame chapters kinda easy to access because honestly I don’t think I’d see myself doing the patches of MoP any other way. Theramore/Garrosh stuff has been really good.

That was her look after she lost her naive hopefulness. If i remember right the white streak was due to exposure to the focusing iris, or something like that.

I love Jaina. She’s my favourite wow character. And she was so good at this time. So righteously angry. Her speech about mercy in the theramore scenario is so damn cool!
“You spit on mercy? Then you will have none! You want carnage?! Garrosh will get more blood than he ever bargained for!”

I’m actually just about to commit atrocities on innocents in Dalaran! This feels good

Yeah she used to be cool and hot.

All of the Warcraft women were.

I liked pre-PTSD, pre-nuke, “innocent” Jaina before she had the white hair.

“All I wanted ever wanted to do, was to study!”

She wanted peace, she was friends with Thrall.

Such a 180° for her character, and I know people love Garrosh, but I always disliked him for changing Jaina lol.

I liked her more as a neutral character, less so as simply Alliance.

I’m just doing it now - it seems to be more. There was a lot of Horde aggression during Cataclysm and Theramore was the ‘blowing’ point for her.

It actually seems to be Varian who is a lot more mellow by landfall, attempting to win over Belves at the time.

Wait, we suddenly like the MoP ppst Theramore Jaina model? Always felt the BFA model was an improvement in every way.

This is just a new experience for me. I started in Shadowlands

Theramor was the only alliance Paladin facility in kalimdor. It was tactically solid to drop it imo.

Can’t promote /train Paladins…if its rekt.

My only gripe was alliance should have had dibs on the first aid trainer.

Let us drop them…then horde could have the rest

Doh, You missed one since off camera. Do it again,

That doc earned his death, but it should have been alliance to get that pleasure.

theramore being nuked was her kaneki ken moment

To be honest, it was that change of character that cemented her as my favourite. Because it was such an extreme but also logical bit of character progression. Her devotion to the pursuit of peace was absolutely proven. She had given more than enough. So to have that peace taken away, especially in such a horrific way, absolutely demanded an extreme reaction.

All she ever wanted was to study! :woman_mage:

Don’t say that… Even as a joke it gives pearl clutching Helen Lovejoys ammo…

It’s a natural progression to her character, I agree.

I just miss when she was pals with the Horde, lol.

As long as he never says a swear or is disrespectful. We can’t have meanies or rude words. : ( Hopes the sarcasm carries through, referencing that stupid censorship of Garrosh and Sylvana’s exchange This games a safe space, something we can rely on to baby sit our kids. Or some would have us believe.

They censored it?

That’s her look after her hair was bleached from being exposed to too much arcane energy during the nuke of theramore - she was saved by Rhonin’s sacrifice, which isn’t shown in game, but rather in the book.

Near the end of the assault on Theramore, Rhonin and Jaina sensed the mana bomb as it approached and realized that if it went off, it would level most of Kalimdor. Rhonin told her to flee, but she refused.

In order to prevent as much damage as possible, Rhonin pulled the mana bomb into Jaina’s tower - knowing it was reinforced with a ton of magical wards to help dilute the blast - this is what caused the nuke to be focused on Theramore, and not half of Kalimdor.

At the last moment, he opened a portal to Dalaran and pushed Jaina through - however, the nuke went off, and she was exposed to a significant amount of arcane energy - turning her hair white. She immediately portaled back to Theramore, but it was gone.

After almost destroying Orgrimmar in revenge by fusing thousands of water elementals into a giant tidal wave, (Kalecgos stopped her), she became leader of the Kirin Tor, and gave the Sunreavers a second chance - despite the knowledge they helped build the mana bomb that destroyed theramore. She gave Aethas a warning - if even a single Sunreaver steps out of line and aids the Horde and breaks neutrality, the blood of the Sunreavers will be on his hands.

And the rest is stuff in-game:

So naturally in 5.1, when the Sunreavers helped Garrosh sneak into Darnassus to steal the Divine Bell - another weapon of mass destruction - she ordered their imprisonment. She arrested quite a few, but most of them started to fight back. This caused Vereesa (Leader of the High Elves/Silver Covenant, and Rhonin’s widowed wife) to enter the fray, and convinced Jaina to order the elimination any Sunreavers who fight back.

This is what’s referred to as the “Purge of Dalaran.” Personally, I still feel it was justified, as she gave ample warning what would happen if even one stepped out of line, and the Sunreavers are not “innocent” as the Horde claim - they were complicit in the nuking of Theramore, and giving Garrosh a second WOMD. This was further reinforced in Legion, when Aethas finally admits he knew about the Darnassus plan and immensely regrets not stepping in.

After this, Jaina joined the Alliance alongside the Kirin Tor (though they left in Legion), and Vereesa brought the Silver Covenant into the Alliance officially, where they’ve been since.

Garrosh sympathizers confuse me when they say he did nothing wrong, because the nuke he launched would have almost certainly destroyed Thunder Bluff as well.

I mean I get changing the style or direction of content you make today, but going back and changing stuff up just to pander to todays political climate is nonsense. Its disrespectful to fans and the people who wrote it. leave whats there alone. (Unless its like Mac’aree that was renamed cause of the terrible people involved and it being named after them, thats understandable and a different thing)
