Let’s face it, the only people who will reach R14 are going to be bots, streamers who play as a living, and account sharers (These aren’t the only people who will get it but examples of the type that will… in short, people able to play 16+ days). Please stop playing AV to min/max your honor. It means nothing unless you are actually going for R14 which again is not going to happen if you have a job or school or a social life. Better gear is available in later raids (with a few exceptions like fury War).
Instead play the game to win, to have fun, and have a good competitive match. I’ve been in so many games now where we’ve had a real chance to turn things around through turn ins, and timely pushes but instead if the Alliance dont succed in zerging I see them literally just letting the horde run by. Its disgusting.
Whatever happened to a lil faction pride, and wanting to stomp the horde for the sake of stomping the horde? Play the game to have fun, and lets get some competitive games going where alliance actually try to defend key chokepoints like the horde have been doing now, stomping our zergs.
Alliance are after rep. I am kicking myself I didnt push hard in AV heavily in the first few days to get exalted. Then I wouldnt have to go back into that horde favored garbage map.
Well the thing is, it’s not favored to horde. Last game there was some ally from Mankrik who went and held each of our towers until they burned which killed all the warmasters. They had some dudes on defense slowing our offense down. Then they were easily able to work on the boss. If you guys focused on playing the game as it’s meant to be you would win more. There’s really no disputing that.
Plus it’s way more fun when you’re playing out the strategy instead of just trying to Zerg each game. Zerging can result in a fast win for either horde or alliance but it’s also easily broken.
I spent about 4 hours each night from Tues-Fri running AV over and over and spent about 10 hours on it Saturday to finish out exalted. I got about 298k honor for the week and barely made it from rank 5 to rank 6. It’s pretty frustrating because I can’t or should say won’t maintain that rate as I am not going to devote my life to doing BG instances every waking hour I’m not at work. Meanwhile, I can’t even afford to get enchants for my gear because I haven’t had any time to spend farming the gold I need for that.
I had no illusions about making rank 14. I figured the best I could hope for was 10 where I could at least get all the rare pvp gear. After this week though, I highly doubt I will progress much higher than 6 if the bar is that high. I’ve kind of reached a personal crossroads with Classic. The only reason I was playing this was because I enjoyed the pvp in Vanilla. Now though, I’m wondering if I should just stop wasting time on this and unsub.
just switch to world PVP at this point, I’m planning on getting mildly geared up enough to stand toe to toe with most players, and then roaming and causing random crapstorms. That’s what I did in vanilla, that’s what I’ll do in classic.
