nope not accurate at all, again, those who play ON LAUNCH, with friends/guild sure
but what about the average casual? and b/w the “average casuals” are the reason WoW made it to 12 mil subs
we pay the bills
and even an hour LF a group is ridiculous when most other MMO’s now have some sort of group finder.

In retail, with microtransactions, yes. We have seen the reports.
Whales pay more than the subs combined.

We’re looking at modern World of Warcraft’s Premade Group Finder and Burning Crusade Classic’s Looking For Group tool for inspiration and ideas.

As stated, LFD was released near the end of Wrath. Wrath reached its peak BEFORE all of that. The end of Wrath is when they ripped the current developers away for PROJECT TITAN. WoW went to poop after that.
Get a guild? Discord makes it easy.

I just wonder if they actually used LFD tool. I remember guild groups joining and kicking the random guy if they were loot competition on a final boss. Or just kicking people for the fun of it. Trolling for the sake of trolling. Tanks gaming the system by forcing groups to kick them if they didn’t want to tank said instance so the tank got an instant queue and to pick and choose what they’d run. Taking what they wanted for the off off off off off off off spec showing no regards for the people they ran with.
There was a reason we had deserter added as a debuff, and loot was changed and it wasn’t because the community came together as respectful little angels.

Your example ousts itself immediately. Do you remember the debacle with the Faction mounts where counts were being omitted because they were literally 3x the amount of actual subscribers because people used voting spam bots on the website? Blizzard sends these directly to emails so it’s a 1:1 situation. It doesn’t mean they can’t be skewed in favor one way or another. But it is a lot more reliable than your data from third party sites that do not filter those who vote.

Wow this all seems like similar things happening in TBC dungeons. It’s like nothing changes regardless of how the group is formed. Huh. Imagine that.

Blizzard sent no emails out I promise you.
Someone would of gotten ahold of it and posted the survey just like the other surveys which I had gotten all of them, including the wotlk survey and RDF wasn’t on it.
It’s blizzard pushing Boosts and y’all are falling for it.

This! Being able to quest or farm out in the world while waiting in queue is much better for the game then everyone sitting in town spamming chat for a group.

I queued a million dungeons in 3.3 and never saw this. People only got kicked if they went AFK, pulled without the tank, or need rolled on everything.

The being left behind part is definitely true. If you aren’t 80 within the first 2-3 weeks of WOTLK, you’ll completely miss out on the pre-raid bis heroic farms. Without RDF, massive amounts of time will be wasted trying to get into heroic groups, and you’ll just get further and further behind. Better hope that your server has a healthy GDKP scene come phase 2, or you decide to PvP only.

I have friends, that doesn’t mean my friends want to tank and heal my 3rd alts dungeons…
That’s why RDF was put in the game.
Imagine giving people a clear and cut way to play the game.

It doesn’t matter how healthy your server’s GDKP scene is if you don’t have the gold in the first place.
